As a company, Google deals with virtually every corner of the Internet. While their search engine is what they are best known for, they also have services like YouTube, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Assistant, and Google Plus.
Google provides valuable services, but the main way to monetize them is through advertising and information gathering. Companies are realizing the tremendous impact a company has to offer, and YouTube ads as well as web pages and searches have proven to be highly profitable.
If you use Google products, it is likely that the company has enough information about your online activities – the data they use to improve the effectiveness of their advertising.
The good news, however, is that Google allows you to choose the data they are allowed to collect and even remove personal information entirely.
The process is pretty simple, and you have many options to customize Google tracking to suit your needs. Read below to learn how to delete personal information collected by Google.

First, go to myactivity.google.com to access the control panel containing your personal information. When you first arrive, Google will show you a quick guide that explains how they track your activity and some basic information about the controls available.
From there, you have several different options for handling data deletion.
Delete personal information from today
Step 1. By default, the home page displays your internet activity in chronological order, broken down by time and with a good understanding of the pages you have visited over time.
Step 2. In the upper right corner of the Today section, you can click the three vertical dots to expand the menu. This gives you the ability to view detailed information about your activity, as well as completely delete your browsing habits from the past day.
Delete a specific page
Step 1. If you want to remove a specific page from your history, find it in your action and click the “Details” button to view additional information.
Step 2. As with the page in the main menu, click the three dots and select “Delete.”
Delete personal information by category
Step 1. If you want to completely delete personal data, click “Delete action before” on the left side of the main page.
Step 2. On the next page, you can select a specific date range to remove information. Click “Delete” to completely erase your personal information that was collected during this period.
Step 3. You also have the option to delete data from certain Google services. Use the dropdown on the page to select the services you want to remove, then follow the process from step 2.
Google Tracking Management
In addition to being able to delete existing information Google, you can control how they handle your personal information in the future.
Step 1. Click Action Controls from the menu on the left of the page.
Step 2. The next page explains a little more about their tracking process, and you will have the ability to control the collection of data for each category. Just click the slider to turn it on or off according to your preference.
Reducing the space you occupy while browsing the web can be tricky. However, Google gives you the ability to better maintain your privacy.
