As a company, Google deals with virtually every corner of the Internet. While their search engine is what they are best known for, they also have services like YouTube, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Assistant, and Google Plus.
Google provides valuable services, but the main way to monetize them is through advertising and information gathering. Companies are realizing the tremendous impact a company has to offer, and YouTube ads as well as web pages and searches have proven to be highly profitable.
If you use Google products, it is likely that the company has enough information about your online activities – the data they use to improve the effectiveness of their advertising.
