Can’t Delete Apps on iPhone Due to 3D Touch?.
I have been getting very frustrated with my iPhone lately because whenever I want to uninstall an app, I cannot go to the mode where the icons are shaking due to the 3D Touch function. In my opinion, 3D Touch is generally a pretty useless feature, but I left it on because on one or two rare occasions I actually used it.
However, I have been traveling a lot lately and because of this I download and uninstall a lot of local and transportation apps on my phone. I find it surprising that Apple released a feature that in such an annoying way would completely contradict another feature.
Even when I try to press at different intensities, it can sometimes take a minute or two before I can get the icons on the screen to shake and small crosses appear.
Otherwise, it just keeps loading the 3D Touch menu for the app I click.

If you’re having this problem, there are several things you can do. You can turn off 3D Touch completely or adjust the sensitivity so that it only turns on when you press hard. I’ll show you how to do this in this article.
Adjust 3D Touch settings
To change these settings, you need to open the Settings app, then tap General and then Accessibility.
Then scroll down until you see the 3D Touch option.
Click on it and you can now turn off 3D Touch completely if you like, or adjust the sensitivity.
What ultimately worked for me was moving the slider to the Firm position. I could still keep 3D Touch enabled on the rare occasions I use it, but I could also get to the screen where I can actually uninstall apps! However, if you never use 3D Touch, it may be easier to turn it off completely. Enjoy!
