The Nintendo Switch Dock doesn’t actually have an Ethernet port. This does not mean that you cannot connect it. You will just need to buy one of the Nintendo network adapters to get the job done. Connect the Ethernet cable to your router, making sure it is secure.
Place the Nintendo Switch in the docking station.
Now you need to make sure your switch is connected to the internet. You should also be aware that you can only use a wired internet connection in TV mode as the cable only connects to the dock.
Setting Up Your Wired Connection
Turn on your Switch console and follow these instructions to set up a wired internet connection on your device:
Select System Preferences from the main menu, which looks like a gear icon at the bottom of the screen.
Go to Internet> Internet Settings. Wait while the switch searches for Wi-Fi.
