Best WordPress Keyboard Shortcuts Every Blogger Should Know

Best WordPress Keyboard Shortcuts Every Blogger Should Know.

Without a doubt, WordPress is one of the best open source platforms for building websites. Two years ago, when I first got to know WordPress by one of my friends who were involved in web development projects, I must admit I was shocked to see how easy it was to create a website with little or no coding skills.

The good thing about open source projects is that you learn new things every day. And today I’m going to share some of the best WordPress shortcodes to improve your productivity. Now you can find all WordPress shortcodes in the help section in the visual editor, but most of them are old and pretty obvious, like ctrl + c for copy and ctrl + v for paste.

But in this tutorial, I’ve hand-picked some of the best and most useful shortcodes that come in very handy. I’m a big fan of keyboard shortcuts and recommend you try them out and trust me, you’ll love them as much as I do.

Alt + Shift + w puts you in full screen for distraction-free writing, and pressing the same key combination again will return you to the Rich text editor. The most commonly used shortcodes are Alt + Shift + m to insert an image and Alt + Shift + a to insert a link at the cursor position. At any time, if you need help, press Alt + Shift + h.

I also made a clean infographic that you can download for quick access to all WordPress shortcodes.
