After years of using my TX it finally fell apart. I was surprised to see the cost to replace this relic and quickly sought out the offerings on Amazon. For desk top use I found this to be the best alternative. I do not give this a five start because as other reviewers have mentioned to buttons do stick and do not register 100% of the time. .
Product is a bit pricey for a calculator, but however it’s what we needed, big keys, large screen, big numbers. The product is worth the buy for what we needed it for but again a bit pricey for a calculator that isn’t a high tech product let alone nothing fancy. .
I have had this model for over 20 years. The display finally got too faint. Was so happy to find the same model with virtually no changes to get to replace my well used calculator. Excellent brand as I have a larger desktop calculator that has been with me for my last 4 jobs over 25 years. .
This calculator has been perfect. I am a college student and I carry it everywhere for my Accounting classes and tests. Fits easily in a backpack or brief case. Self-powered and the ability to angle the display for better viewing make it a real asset for anyone looking for a portable financial calculator.It has way for functions than what I have used by the product is quality and durable, after close to 2 years carrying it everywhere with me I have considered purchasing a second one just to have around. .

This is a sturdy calculator. Touch is good. Number 5 key has a raised circle rather than a bump for folks who key by touch. I chose this calculator specifically for the display size. The problem I have with this calculator is that the specifications listed do not agree with the product. I spoke to a representative at Victor and was told that they had changed the model but did not update the manual. The keypad on the calculator agrees with the photograph on the Amazon (and Victor) website but does not agree with the manual. The specs say display is 17mm. It is actually 15mm. The specs say there is a date and time function. That is completely gone. The key labels in the manual are different than the actual key labels. For a heavy duty calculator this is a good price, but if you are looking for a larger display, as I did, choose the 1560-6. .
I’m a CPA and need a calculator that stands up to lots of day to day adding. This calculator does not appear to be made any better than the $40 ones, and at only a month old already has keys that don’t work. I have to hit the 0 exactly from above or it does not register the number and my whole total is off. As soon as tax season is over I will take the time to send this machine back – it was a waste of money. .
I am having to change my rating to one star, as this product is no longer working after 5 months. Not all the digits are printing, you only see every other number. Totals are wrong, etc. The 0 sticks. Good thing this product is still under manufacture warranty, however I am having to send it back. I will be without a calculator for 2 weeks, meaning I will have to purchase another one in the mean time. I bought two of these for the office and we did love them, however they did not last. .
I have been a bookkeeper for 30 years and I own three of these (one for each of my desks). They are long lasting and durable machines. I use them constantly! This model is set up to exactly fit my hand and I never get tired of running long tapes on it. Also they use the universal ribbons which is great because I hate the newfangled ink attachments other brands have started using. This transaction went very smooth. Thank you .

You have to push each key very strongly or it will miss numbers on a very regular basis. Not sensitive enough for quick work. .
Buttons are a little hard to push .

Victor 10-Digit Desktop Calculator (11003A) Â I’ve been using this calculator a little over a year now, and it’s proven to be reliable and handy! The black and silver design is modern and attractive. The keys are made of hard plastic so there’s little chance of them wearing down as a rubber key would. I frequently use the cost sell and margin keys and the tax keys. They are easy to use and program. There are instructions on how to set the tax rate on the back of the box so I’d recommend saving the box until you are comfortable repeating that function. Another nice feature is the Antimicrobial protection. It gives me peace of mind that there aren’t little germs or microbes on my calculator. This is particularly comforting during flu season! It’s also manufactured from 50% recycled material so I feel that this Victor 1100-3A is a little more earth friendly that other desktop calculators. I’d definitely recommend this calculator for any at home or office use. It fits easily on a desktop or in a drawer. .
Finally a desktop calculator with quality, style and great functions. I have heard about the Victor brand, but never really believed that brand made such a difference in calculators. This a solid product with a nice key touch and huge LCD display. Since I am using this for business, the cost-sell-margin and tax functions come in handy too. .

The calculator I received is Model # 1100-3A and not the white/blue one shown. It works okay but from time-to-time it shifts to 4 decimal places on me for no reason. I generally use it weekly to do my household budget and never do I set a calculator for more than 2 dec. pts. It’s not worth returning the product, so I use it for now, however, not anything to rave about; it’s a calculator! .
