For a 3000g (3kg) capacity scale, it is nice and compact. The digital scale includes two plastic weighing pans that double as protective cases for the weight platform and base during storage.I was drawn by the touch panel which is reasonably responsive/sensitive and resistant to any liquid spills which physical buttons (through their crevices) are often vulnerable to. The backlit display is clear and the overall battery life is surprisingly good; considerably much better than other backlit digital scales I owned, and even comparable to my other digital scales that are NOT backlit.Space-saving and very useful for everyday measurements in grams and ounces. It supports other units as well which slightly diversifies its use. However, the Piece-counting (PCS button) feature is limited and not that dependable in my experience. Occasionally, weight measurements minimally drift when weighing very hot liquids (such as hot water for coffee pour-overs) but not by more than a gram. Most other item measurements are stable and reproducible with my other kitchen scales.Contacting customer service of the manufacturer from their post-purchase follow-up email was very pleasant. My first unit had one non-responsive button. They quickly delivered another unit as replacement with an invitation for further feedback. The second unit worked properly with all its functions, but I noticed a very slight wobble on a flat countertop which the more stable first unit did not have. Nothing that a piece of taped cardboard on one corner couldn’t fix. Customer service welcomed my feedback on quality control and offered compensation for the inconvenience.I continue to use the scale to this day. While not perfect, it remains a very good product for its overall purpose, price and customer support. .
Since we gave up our name brand postage meter we needed a small scale for letters and envelopes. This scale has worked out great for this use. We carry it to whatever desk it’s needed at. For large envelopes we just balance the envelope on it’s side and it’s close enough to get the ounces for figuring USPS rates. If this one dies or gets damaged I will buy another in an instant. .
I ordered this scale because I was not able to recalibrate one I previously owned. I searched high and low and read reviews until my eyeballs popped out – and this is the scale I chose. The scale is small and lightweight, yet feels sturdy. I like the touch of the buttons and all functions seem to work right. I used a 100g, 20g, 10g, 5g and 2g weight separately and together several times to check the accuracy, I found that out of 5 tries, 3 times the measurement was 0.01+/- off. For my purposes, this is not a huge problem, but if you need EXACT accuracy, you may want to shop around a little more.Overall, this scale is actually smaller than my previous scale and I like the way it operates. I can’t speak to battery life or durability at this point, because I have not used it for long, but I do feel like I got value for my money.Overall I would recommend this product. .
I ordered three of these scales (one for home, one for work desk, one for the shop). One of the three “wobbles” on it’s little rubber feet, but it doesn’t cause the “unstable” warning. However, it tended to weigh a tenth of a gram more than the other two scales. Set up is easy, the batteries are cheapos – as expected, the case protects the scale, but is not fully “closed” so keep the box, too. I weigh in grams, so I had to reset the default measuring type. Grams is the last option, but at least the scale does remember what it has been set for. I would return the scale if I had to reset it every time I turned it on. Why? because that touch buttons is TERRIBLE on all three scales. One scale turned on immediately with a gentle touch. The second required a centered PRESS. The third one wouldn’t turn on at all, at first. After fiddling with it for a while, and being close to thinking it just didn’t work, it turned on with a very forceful, centered press with the tip of my fingernail. This scale was the one that wobbles, and also shows a slightly higher weight on anything I test.I was testing the scales on a wood top table that appears to be very level. The wobbling scale wobbles no matter where I place it on the table. However, I changed the positions of the scales to continue my test. The one that wobbles and shows a higher weight still wobbled but did NOT show a higher weight when I moved it’s position. As I tested the scales, I found that the touch buttons worked very inconsistently. On all three scales, it takes very determined presses to change the weight type (from oz to gm, for example). Sometimes the scales turn on and off with a gentle tap, other times I have to press the button repeatedly to get them to turn on or off.The platform is nice and large. Despite the instruction to make sure whatever is being weighed is centered on the platform, my test items weighed the same whether I placed them in the center or in any of the corners, which is a good thing because I weigh a lot of awkward shapes. Obviously, you have to try to balance an oddly shaped item (like a silver spoon) on the platform, but it’s good to know that it doesn’t have to be EXACTLY in the center as the instruction book implies. For the price, these are just fine. I’m concerned about the touch buttons, though. The scales I’ve used before had push buttons, which seem to work more reliably and consistently. .

2 – Sharp EL233SB 10 Pack EL233SBX10 Calculator, White

Great little calculators. The reason why I like these calculators is because the buttons are a hard plastic. I find that when the number buttons are the flexible rubber, they tend to stick and the calculator doesn’t last as long. These calculators do not have solar power, so when the battery is gone, it is probably cheaper to just get new calculators instead of replacing the batter. I use these in class (college actually) for the students who “forgot” there calculator for a test (the equations we use do not require a scientific calculator). If these last me for one year, I will be please. .
I bought these because my students never bring their own calculator for exams (they use their phones and those aren’t allowed for exams). So if they forgot to bring a calculator this is a great back up and not too expensive. Just know that they are SMALL. .
Being from sharp I thought is was a good deal but some of the keys don’t work properly, I guess it’s better to spend more for a more reliable product! .
Man these things can take some abuse. Not like the other calculators at this price point. So much more durable. .
