If all you need is to be able to figure out what the tax on a particular amount is going to be and nothing else, this will get the job done. It took me a little messing around to figure out just how to do this or to get it to work but when I did, I was or felt somewhat foolish. The simple thing was that I didn’t know what I was doing at first, but now that I do, I feel foolish. In putting in the tax amount for your location, it’s true you do that just once. Ours is .06 but what you are to put into the tax rate field is just 6 and not .06. Once I did that everything worked. I also feel somewhat foolish because that icons that I couldn’t get weren’t suppose to show up on my Android tablet because the screenshot was done on an android phone and it used the icons, not my tablet. So I think that this little program is great!! It would be helpful though if the application creators did include a help file/manual with these applications because of just this problem; what is obvious to the creator isn’t to the user. Found it helpful to know the final cost. Would love if it did not default to 0.00 all the time. I just want to be able to enter my value and get the total. It would be get if can add tip to the calculator. .

I make mistakes on a calculator and the ability to review what mistakes I am making is helpful – before that I might add lists of numbers and then do that 2 or 3 times to confirm. Actually I went on to buy another model of calculator from the same group. They do 2 additional similar models (a green one and a purple one) that include an insert key. Editing the prior entries is okay but if you can only over-type the prior entry it does not let you work as freely as if you can insert a missed digit – or take the result and maybe you want the inverse of the number so want to insert the digit 1 and the divide by sign eg 1/xxxx to get a currency in the way you want to see it. Or maybe there are other ways you use your calculator – but I find an Insert key very useful.In the past I have also tried using calculators with a paper roll but that does not seem the way to go these days. Really nice desk calculators from datexx. .
I bought this for my son who has special needs and needed it for online school. It’s perfect because it has large numbers and symbols and shows your equation while you’re doing it. Is larger, so we won’t lose it and he can still palm it, if necessary. .
Great calculator! I was surprised when I couldn’t find many simple small calculators that also gave the 2 line feature so I was glad this model was available, even though the price was a little high. The 2 line comes in very handy when you are calculating and want to see your history and then it allows you to also edit. I use it at my office and the solar feature also works well. A good buy. .
Difficult to read because of the angle of the screen. The screen lies flat and does have the ability to be adjusted/tilted up for easier viewing. .
