I’ve purchased this as a gift for my boyfriend since he is graduating in May with a business degree. However, from a non-business prospective it is very nice. My dad has previously purchased something like this from Franklin Covey. As a college student like myself, that is waaaaayyyy too expensive for someone ballin’ on a budget. So when it came, I showed my dad and he said it was very good quality for the price it is offered for. And that it would work great for someone, like my boyfriend, who is new and just getting their foot into the business world.One suggestion would be adding rings into it so it can be “binder like”. The franklin covey ones have rings in them so you can insert your own calendar inserts, phone book inserts, note inserts, etc.all in all, this is very nice and I can’t wait to gift it to my boyfriend for his graduation gift. I would highly recommend this to others! .
This leather business portfolio is perfect for my needs. I was little doubtful if it will be too bulky like few other folios i have seen in stores, but it is about an inch thick without the stuff in the pockets. The leather seems to be top quality and i will update the durability after using it for few more weeks. the calculator is good, but the calendar is not all that good. the note pad fits in nicely and the zipper is the best part. when the folio is opened, it does not cause any bumps or hinders the usage in any way. for the price and quality I would recommend this to any one. .

I have been planning to buy a portfolio file for some time and haven’t found one that i like which is within my price range. It is a well-made product with simple elegant style. There is a full pouch at the back on left side for letter or A4 size papers. In front is a half pouch for smaller items. The front most is 3 card slots and another with a clear plastic for display. There is also a calculator beside the card slots which is quite unique compared to other products. A pen in the middle with a loop. On the right side, there is a clip with a note pad to write on. The magnetic clips is underneath & not shown like a loop & a belt. I am describing it in details because when I buy the description is confusing with the more expensive ones with a ring loop with a different design. It is a nice and well crafted product with a professional design. Good for interviews and meetings. I would definitely recommend it. .
After searching for a perfect binder/ organizer duo, I finally came across something to fit my needs. I am specifically using this for college & it works GREAT with my Rocketbook Fusion (it fits perfectly.) the price point is fantastic and I couldnt have asked for a better product. I wasn’t aware that it came with a pen, calculator, note pad, AND laminate dividers- so that was a MAJOR PLUS to my surprise. I’m very impressed with the material and so far, I love it. will update once I use it more. .

I just received this item so I can’t comment on its durability yet. The only issue that I have found thus far is that the tablet included with this item is a drawing pad. The paper is not lined so it will need to be replaced with a decent legal pad. .

How hard can it be to make a professional 3 ring binder with accessory pockets!?!? I’ve been to all the Staples and Office Depots. I don’t need heavy black leather pad-folios with a million credit card slots, I don’t use memo pads, and i certainly don’t need a million credit card slots and zippers. I like to organize my papers with 3 ring binders, sheet protectors, and dividers (without looking like I’m in high school).This is the ONLY one I’ve seen that looks nice and had all the necessary components for a professional-istic padfolio to take to meetings. .
I am a material checker for Coca Cola and have to keep paperwork and documents with me outdoors as I jump from truck to truck checking in drivers. This holds everything securely and helps keeps my papers from getting wet in the rain and snow. I’ve been using this for at least a month in the rain and snow and it has held up well. .
Nice .came with everything I need to store papers. I am a nurse & I added clear pocket dividers for my nursing report sheets. I pocket for each patient. The clear sheets it comes with I inserted my protest forms, policy sheets , down time lab forms etc so it looks really organize & easy access. Love that I have a place to put my pens , handy calculator if need it.extra pockets which I put index cards in case need right something down for patient, myself or staff. I’ve had this for less than two months and the zipper broke today. I gave it 5 stars for Value for money because I honestly thought it was a great value; this is a very stylish and functional portfolio. It’s also very sturdy. I can put my files and my laptop in it. The portfolio looks very professional. However value means nothing if it isn’t durable and this think is useless without a functioning zipper. Broke in less than two months. Save your money and buy something more durable. .
This is my 4th zippered type binder in 10 years. One fell apart in no time flat, not a big loss because it smelled really bad too. I wanted to replace the one I was using because it was getting worn and I thought something a little bigger would suit me. No doubt it is bigger, but when I transfered my work, I really didn’t have any extra space. I removed the 2″ binder and replaced with 1 1/2″, as the entire unit is just BULKY! I’ll use it until it wears out, and that could be a long time as it seems very well made and durable. Unfortunately, it’s not that functional. There is only one pen holder. The business card holder pretty much holds one card, more for identification purpose than the convenience of having handy to pass out. There is a padded section for a tablet, but like I said, it’s already so bulky. Another interior pocket would hold a planner or papers, but not in a manilla folder, because the pocket is not deep enough to prevent the manilla folder tab to get bent up by the zipper. .
This case meets my needs and has plenty of room for everything I need for my sales calls. I had one issue: when the portfolio arrived I found the calculator did not work. I contacted Samsill directly and got a response within 30 minutes. They are sending a replacement calculator and have been very nice and customer service oriented. I would not hesitate to to order anything else from Samsill. They seem like a very good company!! .

It has a soft protective pocket for my iPad & pockets for loose papers. While there isn’t a place for pens or cords, I got a zippered pouch for the 3ring binder & solved that. It’s a nice binder, I’m not going to say it isn’t, it looks well made the rings are tight and it’s sewn beautifully, however, it has a few flaws.1. the calculator does not fit properly in its slot2. the zipper on the inside pocket will sometimes prevent you from closing the cover if it’s laying flat.3. the magnet closure is really strong, so it’s a little difficult to open, you have to pry it pretty hard with your nail. I’ve broken my nail tip once already.4. the flash drive fell apart after only 4 days5. if you leave the flash drive on the computer or lose it, you will never be able to close the planner again, also the strap doesn’t always stay on, it’s really loose.I was really looking forward to this binder. I really love the rich mahogany tone of the faux leather, although it does feel like if you were to scratch it on anything it would rip. It’s a very smooth, vinyl feeling. .
The 3-Ring Padfolio is pretty nice, but for my needs is a bit cramped. I carry some loose brochures and datasheets and other things as well as some tools, and there is very little storage area in this binder. It looks good and I am going to use it, but I am not totally pleased.Hard to tell when choosing this type of thing online, as seeing it in person is the best way to determine the suitability. Still, a well designed piece. .

the calculator works, there’s a compartment for business cards, there’s a compartment for files, and the flap that goes over the front cover is magnetic. i decided to return this and go with the Samsill Pad Holder with Calculator, Leather-Look/Faux Reptile Trim instead. This is too bulky for me. the Samsill Pad Holder with Calculator, Leather-Look/Faux Reptile Trim is slimer. But if you don’t mind the bulkiness, then this is for you. overall, 3.5 stars. .
The portfolio is just the right size to take to a meeting without having to lug around a backpack or briefcase. I can fit a couple of folders and a magazine or newspaper into the folder, and it still closes. The fact that it isn’t enclosed on the ends makes carrying things inside it easy. .
Bought this because it will hold my iPad. It is a nice Portfolio, but the vinyl leather may have some flawed stitching resulting in creases along the edges. I had to reorder this item twice and on the 3rd arrival I finally received one that wasn’t as bad as the first two. If you can get one without any craftsmanship problems in the stitching, I’d say buy this Portfolio. .

This is a very nice alternative to the generic soft leather sales folio. There isn’t a ton of extra room, but I don’t need it. I just use it to hold a notepad, some business cards, and a couple of pens. I am a huge fan of other CLC bags and products so when I saw this portfolio I had to have it. When the item arrived all was well, besides the light did not work. I decided to order new batteries and see if that was the issue. After spending $5.00 on new batteries, I installed them and the light came on. Thought it was quite weird that the batteries would be dead on a brand new item, but there is no telling how long it sat on the shelf before arriving.Besides the battery issue, everything is of common CLC build quality and seems to be satisfactory. .
This portfolio is perfect for work around construction sites or for people that perform residential inspections where there is little light since it has its own light. Only thing I would ask is that a more firm back be added so it is easier to write on while standing in the job. It works as is but is not ideal in my mind. .
The batteries were dead on arrival due to position of light switch and carelessness in packing for shipping. Other than that , the rest is as expected. Looks durable. Like a clipboard it is stiff and writable. Has just enough space for a few cards and papers & pens. .

It is absolutely beautiful, steady, carries everything that I need it to carry and I personally like the fact that it’s purple, it’s not a colour that you find many leather folders to be. I’d definitely recommend this folder to others. The business that sent it was well did an excellent job at packaging and it was delivered on time, just a shame that the actual Amazon delivery person put the parcel in a wet bin, but due to outer packaging of the file it was safe. A spacious and rugged American style 3-ring binder/case for keeping a decent A4 pad and some business cards. While it’s a little harder to find stationery for this in the UK, it’s not impossible and because the entire binder oozes quality, has an excellent tactile feel and looks absolutely amazing at any business conference or bank meeting, it feels worth the extra effort. .

I am really impressed by this Leather Writing Portfolio or Padfolio as it says on the product page. Let me tell you why:- First off, appearance is everything. You don’t want to go into a business meeting or an interview with something that is flimsy and looks like it is made of cheap material. I had a plastic binder-like material portfolio that I used for a while. However, it wasn’t the best type to carry around. This one from Samsill is made of a tough leather material and screams “professional” when looking at it.- Secondly, the strap is a great addition to the portfolio – not many types I have seen with this feature. It gives the the product that much more of a professional look especially in any business sector for any type of meeting. It definitely helps your portfolio stand out from the rest. My only quip with the strap is that once you open the portfolio, there is no real place to hook the strap. It will usually stay up in the air and can be annoying as it will fold naturally due to gravity onto the pad itself. This can hinder writing freely but not enough to take off a star in the ratings.- The included writing pad is very sturdy and made of appropriately thick paper. The pen does not bleed through and it does not tear off in the wrong places when a page needs to be removed. It is placed into the large pocket on the right-hand side of the padfolio and can be refilled with a 8.5” x 11” writing pad if needed.- When you open the padfolio, you will see some pockets on the left-hand size. The largest compartment needs to be extended a bit more to the bottom – it can be tight and difficult to place some papers in there but with a little maneuvering, I was able to leave some documents in there without any problems. In addition, there is a pocket in the middle for smaller sized documents or index cards. And lastly, there is a pocket to place business cards, which come in handy especially when you receive someone else’s business card and don’t want to lose them. In the middle of the padfolio is a pen loop that is slightly smaller than expected especially for my Uniball Signo 207 Pen (get this pen if you don’t have one – it will CHANGE YOUR LIFE and is better than any pen made by Pilot which bleeds too much). However, with a little push, it can fit in there quite snug.Other than that, this padfolio is quite useful, looks professional, and will have other people asking you where you got it from. I wish the price was a bit cheaper but it is from a known brand which has added the strap closure and therefore, I see why the price can increase. .
Very beautiful/ nice and exactly as pictured except for the fact that it doesn’t look as casual as it does in the picture. It looks very formal. Something someone who wears suits would use. Not for someone who’s in her late 20s, applying to entry level positions where its casual dress. A piece like this could show I’m overqualified or won’t be happy in a non-executive position and can give off the wrong impression. For interviews, every part from hair to accessories has to match the impression you’re giving. Neither do I want to look like that kid fresh out of school who’s wearing mommy & daddy’s suit, you know? I’m in search for that high quality, but not too formal and not overly trendy piece that matches the personality of a 20s person applying for entry level positions and dressed laid back. Otherwise, really nice. I like how it’s simple and isn’t one those padfolios with a bunch of unnecessary things, like a wallet or calculator. I especially like how it has a place for my pen. Pocket for letter sized papers fits, but you will have to carefully slide in the paper to not ruin it, unless it’s really thick paper. That pocket is a little stiff. .

Some flaws in the stitches like overlapping stitches or a thread sticking out, but quite honestly, the one I got was nearly flawless with the exception of double stitches in a small section. That’s very negligible considering this is not sold as high-end designer brand. Very happy with purchase. Comes with a notebook attatched. Got the brown one for my husband and he was impressed. .
I checked out several portfolios and am really glad I got this one. It looks very distinguished and far more expensive than it cost. I can’t see spending > $100 when this one is so nice. .

Nice looking portfolio. Says junior and A4 size pad in the description, but it’s a fill size portfolio. The pad of paper that’s included is just 1/4 inch shy of being a full sized 8 1/2 by 11 inch pad of paper, and a full sized 8 1/2 by 11 inch pad fits just fine. My initial impression of the quality is good. It has a spot for a calculator but no calculator. A standard size business card does not quite fit in the window holder but would with just a slight trim. Good bargain for the price! .

The phone pocket is large and does not have a strap to hold your phone in so I don’t trust a smaller phone in it as it could easily fly out. There is no place to store standard 8.5 X 11 papers like a normal folder or portfolio. The pocket that looks like the appropriate place isn’t deep enough so papers don’t fit. The only way to keep papers flat without folding them or damaging the corners is to just lay them on top of the pad of paper. As nice as the rest of this “padfolio” is, I’m afraid I must return in and hope to find something similar that can also store papers. .
I’m obsessive about organization and have taken a recent fondness to quality padfolios. Now I know there are a lot more expensive versions out there, but I believe you’d be hard-pressed to find anything in its class that offers a sturdy wraparound zipper and ample internal storage possibilities.The outside is obviously not leather. But it’s supple and smooth, a pleathery texture that it doesn’t require a vegan to appreciate. I also applaud the lack of “bloatware.” The lines are clean, the pockets useful. I’m able to find numerous cubbies for receipts, envelopes and to-do lists, fulfilling its function as a money-management hq.As to the complaint that you can’t stow a full notebook-sized sheet of paper, that’s partially true, but not completely.There’s an outside lip that almost meets the requirement. The bumper stops it early, and a portion of the pages are backed but not fully covered. But if you get creative and re-imagine the iPad/notebook compartment there is space enough unless you’re looking to shelter your dissertation-in-progress.I’m thrilled with what it is and how it functions in the real world. I like its look, its feel, its practicality and I’m shocked by its pricepoint. At less than $20, it’s an overachiever. Then again, unless you’re wanting Tesla for the price of a Volt. In which case, revise your expectations and pony up. .
Arrived in a sealed bag. I had to cut one long thread left over from manufacturing, but otherwise seems to be well made. Only time will tell. It looks and feels10x nicer than the Genuine Leather one I have from a previous employer. The finish is soft and padded, and the storage is adequate. Nice pocket for a tablet. Of course the pad it comes with is cheap, but I will just replace it with a yellow writing pad I purchase from Costco in bulk.I took a few pictures of my old one versus this product (on the right). Although it looks slightly smaller than my previous padfolio, I always felt the other one was too large and looked cheap. .
Let’s call this a padfolio, it seems like a good name. This is my third padfolio. The first two were freebies at industry trade shows. One is Leed’s brand, one does not say a brand so I will call it Generic, and this one that I am reviewing is Samsill brand.The Samsill is significantly higher quality than the Leed’s and Generic padfolios, which is perhaps unsurprising because they were free.Pros:1. The Samsill is a little bit thicker and higher capacity, which I like. The Samsill is about 1.0 inch thick when empty and 1.5 inches thick when full.2. The Samsill is about 0.5 inches wider and higher than the other 2 padfolios, which means it is less likely to mangle the corners of loose paper. It will still mangle the corners if you are not careful.3. It is quite rigid, it must have stiff plastic inside. You could definitely drop this on its corner without damaging the papers inside.Cons:4. The zipper does not seal it, there is about a 0.5-inch triangular hole at the top when you zip it up as completely as possible. This could be a problem in the rain. The Leed’s seals completely, the Generic has a smaller hole.5. The pen loop is on the far right edge if you have the padfolio open. I prefer the pen loop to be in the center, at the spine.6. There are only really 2 compartments for paper: the low-capacity sleeve on the outside front cover, and the high-capacity interior. The flap on the left side of the interior cannot hold an 8.5×11″ sheet without damaging it. There are no sleeves on the inside.I use one padfolio for each project, it is a good system for me. I always remove the pad of blank lined paper and put in just a few sheets of totally white paper. .

This item looks nice but is made of poor materials. The cover and spine dent easily.The spine dents are easy to get out, but not the ones on the cover.I ordered this item express delivery for an interview. The item arrived with a bend/dent in on the spine. I didn’t have enough time to exchange it before the interview, so I did the best I could to undo/unbend the dent on the spine.I just found several dents on the cover that I can’t smooth out. A usb cord got sandwiched between the portfolio and some other stuff. Now there is are indentation of the charger cord on the cover and it won’t smooth out. I would not be able to use this again for an interview. .
Perfect portfolio. Has one sleeve on the left side for documents and a notepad on the right. The material is cheap ofcourse but its soft and comfortable to hold. This is great especially for the price. .
I disliked that this product was bent when I took it out of the packaging. .

All I wanted was a nice looking, thin, simple padfolio. No built-in calculator, no zippered pockets, no bulky internal organizers. Just something minimalistic with thin padding that won’t take up a ton of room when all I need is a pad of paper and a way to keep it clean / dry.Luckily I found this little gem — it’s exactly what I wanted. Thin padding, so I don’t feel like I’m carrying the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man around. Clean lines, so it doesn’t stand out like a sore thumb. Just a few pockets.I’ll update this review if things ever change, but right now I’m expecting to carry this thing for years and years to come.Oh, as other reviewers have pointed out, the elastic pen loop is sized to hold a thin pen (a  Fisher Space Pen  fits perfectly). I went through a few portfolios and was happy but not. This one came along and it was just what I was looking for. It’s slim, which is what I really wanted. Many portfolios out there are like brief cases! Something easy to take to meetings, or stash a few documents into. The inside is sparse, but that’s what I want. I don’t need to carry an iPad with me. It has a spot on the inside spine to slide a pen or pencil into as well. The inside main pocket for large documents is a bit tight, but I think over a little time it will loosen just right. Love the gray/black two-tone color. The only thing I wish it had was some sort of stamp, insignia, logo, or whatever type of mark on one or the other side. Sometimes I open the wrong side or upside down. I may just take a permanent marker and put a small mark somewhere on it. Otherwise if you are looking for a good looking slim-style portfolio, this may be the one for you. .
I looked at dozens of folders like this looking for something that I can carry around every day at work. This looks great and it’s is very good quality. I’ve had it for a couple months and have used it daily and it’s held up like new. I even fold back the front cover to write in it and there are no creases or damage at all. I love it! Oh and the pockets inside are perfect! .

Generally I was writing notes in both a small weekly planner and on sheets of paper in a clipboard. Originally I was looking for a cover for small 5×8 paper pad, but then decided a product like this with removable pages would be better. I spent hours reviewing the options and picked this one based on price, ring binder, full zipper closure, and the additional zipper storage on the front. (I use it left-handed and didn’t need the calculator anyway. Some asked if it could be removed – it slipped out easily. Now I keep some 3×5 cards in it’s place. I removed most of the pages to make it thinner and sticker-tabbed some pages for different topics. Excellent. (Only minor wish is it had holder for two pens in case one goes bad.) .
I’m able to slip my phone in the back pocket, and carry all my essentials. I used it during a physical inventory, had the calculator, pen and paper for notes, and my phone at hand, tucked under my arm. Ready for jotting notes, taking pictures, and adding counts, without errantly leaving something (my phone) behind. .
Strong binder rings, nicely made, holds what I need, looks professional. Being old school and not wanting everything on my phone, I purchased a calendar, note pages, receipt ledger and dividers. Phone will fit in front pocket if you want to stretch it out, I prefer mine to remain the way it is. Phone will go inside with all I have in there. I use it for my photography business, fits inside all my bags. .
This planner/journal is wonderful. It has a strong backbone/frame and great finish on the cover. The only thing I wonder about is how well the ring opening mechanism will hold up. It has worked fine for now. I love the calculator, folder pocket and pen holder. .

I like this portfolio and it works for what I need, which is a place to store my calendar book and various paperwork and a couple pens without having to worry about dropping something – because it zips closed and everything is contained. It’s a nice upgrade from the computer paper clipped to the inside cover of my calendar book.I’m left handed so the reversible writing pad feature was mandatory and it’s nice to be able to flip the orientation without the storage pockets/etc on the other side being upside down (which was a common problem with other similar “lefty-friendly” products).I do wish it had a little more room for more stuff inside. I have a large size monthly calendar book and a handful of papers inside it regularly. I’m not sure if a weekly/daily calendar book that has significantly more pages would fit inside and allow the zipper to close. As it is, I tried to put a small tin of hand balm into it and it couldn’t accommodate the 3/4”h x 2.5”w tin. If the front and back cover had a little more give it would be able to fit more inside, but that could impact the sturdy/professional quality.One last thing. The texture of the exterior is excellent for grip and preventing things from sliding off it while you’re carrying it (mail, small packages, etc.) BUT it makes it impossible to use it as a writing surface to take notes using loose leaf paper. The pen punches through unless there’s a stack of papers or something else between it and the portfolio. There are times when I can’t take notes with the portfolio open (standing up, small table) and it would be nice to have one side a bit smoother for writing on. .
The portfolio I ordered was pictured with two zippered pockets inside; one large and one small. I have the larger zippered pocket in my current portfolio that I’m replacing and really wanted it in the new one. The new portfolio arrived with only one zippered pocket, the small one. While the new portfolio is adequate, it is not exactly what I ordered .
Absolutely the best portfolio! I purchased this for use in my real estate practice and it is wonderful. The pocket that shows a cell phone fits perfectly with my TI BAII calculator. There’s plenty of room for a tablet, paperwork, pens, and of course a good old fashioned legal pad. Literally the best!! .
It looks better and has more functionality than the ones you get for free at your university or workplace .

I have switched from computer laser checks to something alot less costly – 3 on a page business checks. When I ordered them, I was asked whether I wanted a binder for them. I immediately said of course but then I found out that the charge for a flimsy binder was almost twice the price. So, I cancelled the order for the binder, looked on Office Depot and found something that was still expensive. I went to my trusty amazon site and found all types of binders. While there were cheaper binders, this one fits my needs. It is padded, has a zipper around it, and looks like leather if it is not. I highly recommend it. .
I gave it five stars because anything less counts against the seller. The more expensive holders have metal on the corners to prevent damage these do not. My personal test for these binders is to open the rings and pull slightly in opposing directions this binder has no give that’s pretty good. .
Received but the zipper when u open it goes all the way back and when u try to closed it stucks so u need to pull it a little to get it right on track and u can close it. Other than that everything is ok and is well made .

The best padfolio I have ever bought & I have bought a lot of them. The fact that I can conveniently carry my Samsung 10.1″ tablet with me is the best part. It costs a bit more than the cheap ones but it is well worth it. The cover is Napa leather. It also is great for “lefties” (left-handers) as it has a slit in the bottom which allows you to you to turn the pad upside down so that the pad is on the left side (see photo) to be able to write without dragging your left hand over the business cards, etc. I also like that the paper size is larger 7″ X 10″ than the usual 5″ x 8″. Since Samsill is the only company (I assume) that sells this size paper, you are limited to purchasing it from them though. .
This review is for the Samsill Professional Portfolio with Zippered Closure, Junior Size.I purchased the portfolio at market price and have not received any discounts for reviewing the product.The ‘fit and finish’ of the portfolio are very good. There is no noticeable odor as one might find with some ‘faux leather” products.The portfolio comes with a pad of paper, but will accept a standard sized steno book (which is my preferred pad size).I have an 8″ Ematic tablet and it will fit either in the front pocket or the inside pocket behind the pen-and-card-holder page. The Ematic comes with a keyboard that can be reversed to cover the tablet like a hard case cover. The Samsil portfolio will hold the tablet/keyboard combination in the inside pocket, but the outside pocket is too slim to accept the combination; it will hold only the tablet. However, the tablet fits in the front pocket securely and I have no worry that the tablet will accidentally slip out. (This assumes normal care and usage – flipping the portfolio up in the air in some sort of celebration would likely be the cause of the loss of the tablet. YMMV).There are elastic holders for pens, pencils, thumb drives, etc. I would urge care when carrying a tablet in the inside pocket not to have a large pen or mechanical pencil in the elastic holders – they create a high point and could, I think, damage a tablet if undue pressure was accidentally placed on the portfolio when it was closed.Unlike many “personal assistant” portfolios the Samsil does not offer a loose leaf retaining system, so one cannot add a Day Runner type of calendar, etc. It is primarily a vehicle for carrying a notepad (or steno book), a pen or two, and a tablet in a format that keeps everything neat and easy to handle.If one does not choose to carry a tablet then the pockets could, of course, be used to carry a slim calendar, notes, etc.My intended usage is for meetings – the steno pad for notetaking and the Ematic tablet for reference – and I expect the Samsil will give yeoman’s service in that role.Given the quality of the unit, the fact that it will accept standard steno pads, and the market price point, I think the Samsil rates and deserves 5 stars.HTHRegards,Jim .
Exactly what I needed. Wanted a synthetic material for work in a range of climates, indoor and out. Smaller than expected but I guess I should’ve read the description more thoroughly. I just assumed since it said resume portfolio that it would fit standard legal documents. It’ll do for now I guess. What bothers me most is that it came with white stains. Like a waxy residue. Great QC, could’ve at least caught that and took care of it before shipping but that would require maximum effort I guess. Then when the package was delivered the notification says it was left with resident which was a complete lie. It was left in front of my gate in the open instead of behind my gate which the driver could’ve easily done but again that would require maximum effort. .

I purchased this as a Christmas gift so I can’t speak to its functionality in the field but wanted to provide some photos from my unboxing of the Black&Brown Portfolio. It came wrapped in a soft gauze to help with shipping scratches, however the burlap cording did leave some indentations in the front of the item. I wish is that the interior was flipped. When you open the front cover, the Legal pad side is on the left, therefore a right handed person has to flip it around to take notes. The right side interior is very soft brown leather and scratch marks shown were there when I opened it. I was surprised to see the fabric selection used for the left interior. My right handed son may prefer something more subtle, but it will most likely be covered with Legal pad. Zippers work well and interior pocket should hold a small tablet computer. The calculator pocket holds a Sharp standard pocket calculator. .
Beautiful portfolio binder. My only issue is that you are UNABLE to fit you A4 papers/ documents/ folders into the one holding compartment that is supposed to fit them. Because they don’t fit you are unable to utilize the really nice strap/clips that’s supposed to secure your documents. So it’s not functional at all, at least not without bending and folding your papers and damaging your docs. I wish this was better thought out. Maybe a manufacturing problem? .
The business card holders do not have the bottom stitched consecutively so the upper ones can be pushed all the way down. The snap closures also rub their finish onto the paper once placed in. Hopefully, the finish will wear off and this issue will stop. Aside from these issues, this is a fantastic product. .
I love this padfolio. I use it daily for my job. The quality of leather is great and I care for the leather with conditioner. I don’t have to fear cheap zippers breaking off because the zippers are good quality.I would recommend this for personal use if you are looking for a padfolio or as a gift. .

I don’t write a lot of reviews, but when something is particularly good or bad, I do. Although I liked the overall look and size of this portfolio, I thought the finish quality was terrible. I was the ‘distressed’ finish version but it looked as though someone had just taken sandpaper to a ‘normal’ leather finish. In those areas, the leather was ‘raw’ and there was residue left on my hands after opening and handling it that felt like the type of ‘powder’ you have on your hands after sanding wood. Some other areas of the leather were sliced and where the portfolio bends there were some cracks. Many scratches looked like they were made by a sharp instrument. Overall, it looks like it was a ‘do-it-yourself’ attempt at ‘distressing’. I’ve never seen any other ‘distressed’ finish on a leather product I’ve bought look like this did. I don’t know how the other finishes look but I would definitely not recommend this version to anyone. .
This bag is real leather (goat leather, I think), and has natural variations in texture but the color is consistent. Its a very thin leather, but I find it to be well-stitched, and the retractable handles are a nice design feature. My only criticism would be that full size 8-1/2″ wide letter size memo pad just barely will not fit in the memo pad sleeve, maybe it was designed for A4 paper (8.27″). .
It’s been great. I only carry a few documents in it, my daily planner, and folders with a few documents, cell phone, pens, and a few other small thing. The condition has remain great. I carry it out in the rain, and have an occasional drop. .
Pocket for a pad of paper is very tight and it’s difficult to get the paper pad of paper in/out of the pocket. The zipper is also gummy. It’s very pretty leather. An iPhone 6 plus fits in the pocket, but it’s a tight fit. .

This was almost perfect, but the three-ring binder is offset to the right. Paper will fit, but tabs won’t and sheet protectors won’t . . . which is exactly why I was buying it – for a nice professional presentation to customers. If it was 3/4 of an inch wider it would be perfect. It is beautiful but does me no good. Whoever designed this did not think this one through. .
Quality is great, but I cannot understand why they would put their UPC sticker on the front of the binders. I bought 11 of them and had to peel each sticker off and lots of residue was left behind. I’m using these for a business presentation to Executive Team members and now I have to find glue remover so the binders aren’t sticky and don’t look weird.If the sticker is necessary and can’t be tacked to the plastic bag each individual binder comes wrapped in, then at least put them on the back of the binder where it is way less visible. .
Pros:- Beautiful; one of the best looking portfolios on Amazon (in my opinion).- Solid Construction.- Ample storage.- Removable 3-ring binder.Cons:- Design: the portfolio zipper operates from top to bottom (you open it from the bottom). Portfolios typically open from the top, so this is something you may have to get used to.- Design: the zipper progresses past the spine. This makes it difficult to grab the zipper when closing the portfolio and makes it difficult to close it completely. Never had this issue with other portfolios at half the cost.- Price: It is difficult to justify the price given the design flaws. While it these might seem to be nitpicking, none of these issues are present on portfolios costing half the price (or less).In the end, I would not recommend this portfolio for the price. There is really nothing that sets it apart from competitors priced at $15-$20. While it is aesthetically pleasing, irritations from the functional design count against it. .
I bought this as a christmas present for a graduate student and thought it would be perfect for her! The packaging was great, it looked very professional. It all looked perfect until I saw the poor stitching job. Luckily the rest of the binder is fine .

Great product! The actual product looks just like the picture. The leather is a great quality and it carries everything I need in one convenient location. I really appreciate that the notebook inside can be removed or transferred when needed, making it very convenient. I have no use for the calculator but I guess its always a plus to have it there just in case. .

This review is for the Cooper Cases 7″ – 8″ Padfolio Case.I purchased this case to house an Ematic 8″ Windows 10 tablet  Ematic EWT826BK HD 8″ Intel Quad-Core 32GB Tablet with Windows 8.1 . The case has four corner tabs inside the front cover that hold the tablet in place. The tabs are plastic and attach to the case via elastic straps.That’s one of the features that could use some fine tuning, IMO – the elastic is REALLY tight to stretch and an 8″ tablet has it pulled to the max. A little more leeway would make it less likely to damage the tabs and put less strain on the tablet itself. The Ematic fits, but I had some concerns that the pressure was too much when I intially installed the tablet. I don’t plan on taking the unit out of the case frequently, but I would have some reservations in doing so – the tabs are that tight.The other area of concern is the included pen – Cooper thoughtfully includes a small ink pen (with a touch-stylus point on the other end of the pen). However, I managed to snap the retaining clip off of the pen within a couple of minutes. The clip was so tightly bent onto the pen barrel that in trying to remove it from the leather loop in the case the clip broke right off of the pen. Like the elastic tabs, it would be nice if Cooper could make that pen retaining loop just a tad larger, to make inserting/removing the pen easier. I replaced the pen with a larger stylus, clipped to the spine of the case where the A-5 pad is mounted.The fit and finish of the case is good (considering the market price); there are a couple of rough stitches on mine but nothing objectionable.On the outside back of the case there is a zippered compartment (the two zippers, by the way, work very well on the case). It’s quite tight but can be used for holding a note or two.Inside the tablet there are pockets for business cards, as well as a transparent pocket for an I.D. card and two pockets for smartphones or calculators (my Samsung Galaxy Core Prime fits perfectly, a larger phone may not).There are also a couple of internal pockets for holding papers; I’m using one to hold a Fintie keyboard  Fintie Ultrathin (4mm) Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard for Windows (Microsoft Surface/ HP Stream 7 / HP Stream 8 / Dell Venue 8 Pro/ Lenovo IdeaTab Miix 2 /ThinkPad 8/ Toshiba Encore/ Acer Iconia W4/ Nokia Lumia 2520/ Asus ViVoTab), 7-Inch Black  that I had left over from a Dell Windows tablet. It fits perfectly in the Cooper case and pairs with the Ematic tablet.One improvement to the case design I’d like to see – Velcro straps that can be used to hold the tablet cover open in landscape mode. As it is I have to prop the case cover open using some object behind it in order to keep the case from going completely flat. Flat is sometimes to be desired (as when taking notes on the A5 pad), but if there was a built in way to hold the lid open then I could use the bluetooth keyboard to run the tablet while keeping the screen propped up for viewing.The external material is cloth, except for the hand grip on the binding edge of the tablet – that’s a leather material.Overall an excellent case (again, considering the market price), and it will allow me to bring a minimum setup into meeting rooms (YMMV). I’m semi-retired and so carrying a single padfolio case with a tablet and A-5 notepad into meetings will be a pleasure compared to schlepping a briefcase or laptop bag.HTHRegards,Jim .
I purchased this case for my kindle fire 8 and it fits great! I love the fact that it came with a note pad and a pen that can be used as a stylus. It has extra pockets which i love and also a cell phone holder so I am happy it can be used to take to meetings as well and will be a great fit for my hand bag. I had a lot of kindle cases but i think this is going to be my last for a while. The case is also great and comfortable when holding and just reading especially at night or early morning. Shipping was very fast and packaging was great! .
This case is perfect for my Kindle Fire! And I searched a long time to find something that fit my needs! I am left handed, so I was able to reverse the setup so that the notepad was on the left. Good storage organization for my pens, note cards and other papers I use! Like the zipper since it keeps everything stable inside! Appears to be well made. A couple of weeks after I received this, I got an email from the President of the company thanking me for my purchase and asking if I was happy with my choice. Impressive! Nobody does that in today’s world! I would definitely buy more of these products! .
Feels nice and solid, A perfect fit for my asus vivo tab 8 to sit in snugly. I wish it had a bit more pockets space but that might just because I carry too many items, has great pocket to store a potable hard drive,phone or battery. I do wish the pen holder had a bit more space to fit thicker pens as all of my active pens are a bit on the thicker side. still you can just use the side clip to hang it on. I feel the outside pocket could also be a bit bigger or give more to allow for some thicker items. I’m still satisfied with my purchase. .

I needed a padfolio that could hold a small 3-ring binder’s worth of paper, an iPad, foldable keyboard, notepad, pens, and a few other loose-leaf papers and items. This fits the bill fairly well. I hoped that the 3-ring binder could be removed and would be sturdy enough to use as a make-shift clip-board. Unfortunately, while it is removable, it does not completely support the papers and still needs to be placed on a hard surface to write upon. One selling point for me was the pen holders. I have had other folios with leather pen holders that were too small to use and because they were made of leather, they were not stretchy and ended up being useless to me. This padfolio has pen holders that are made of elastic fabric, so any size pen can be slipped in. This is a much better approach and was the final selling point for me on this particular padfolio. The only thing I would add would be a couple of additional elastic bands near the pens (there is room) to insert a charger and cable. As this was purchased to carry an iPad, it would be useful to have a dedicated place to hold the accessories for it as well. .
 i like that fact that its not big and bulky its just the right size. that it has a place for business cards and pens as well as the 3 ring binder and place to hold a note pad i think the best part is that it zippers so no matter which way u move it nothing can fall out .
 The product is good for office people to keep your things together,like cards, notebooks, tablet and all everything is at one place. I must admit I loved its cover so much. It is giving some premium look to it. I m really impressed.It is really good to give as a gift as well. .
I absolutely love this portfolio. I’ve used it for interviews and I swear I got the job because they saw how organized I was with this handy tool. I love that it has a binder feature and a note pad. The handle is awesome and the material is soft and strong. I also love that it can be used from right handed to left handed. I can swap it out as my left hand gets tired or vice verse. .

This is a pretty well-made item. I bought it as a gift for a friend in the business industry and he has been happy with it thus far. It can hold quite a few business cards, along with having a build-in calculator. I would say that the pockets could be a bit more roomy and the packaging wasn’t awesome. Overall worth the price. .

Good product for the price. 10 polypockets included. Shoulder strap plus robust handle. Small internal velcroed pocket for bits and pieces plus external zipped pocket for sheets/booklets. Mine was “imperfect” in that one internal seam had not been caught up in the stitching so this is going to tear further if I use the internal pocket on that side (see pics). Not worth returning for that, though – I’ll probably glue it. All in all, quite satisfied with this. .
I tend to need these a lot and have had Reeves folders in the past. Couldn’t find the lovely ‘Reeves’ but found this which looked, on the face of it, to be quite like the old Reeves portfolios.Having taken delivery this morning, I have been greatly reassured to find that this is a very fine alternative. Not quite as sturdy and the clear inserts are flimsier.However, given the price, this will suit admirably and will be buying more as I need them.There were others which cost more but which looked pretty ‘cardboardy’ whilst this is nicely canvas textured. Good carrying handle too. .
If I could give negative stars for an item this would get it – this item arrived from brand new with a faulty rivet connection on ringbinder part of interior so was not held in place, and was swinging around inside – rivet on outside for shoulder strap was poorly stamped too – overall manufacturing make is very poor. I have ordered 4 of these in total, only the first was usable but only lasted 20 uses before shoulder strap rivet came away from item and showed rivet was holding in place only through cardboard. The last 3 I bought couldn’t be used from new as faulty on arrival poorly made. .
Bought for daughter to Carry her artwork to school in. It broke after just two uses, with the whole shoulder strap fitting falling out of the case while my daughter was crossing a busy main road, tripping her up. Looks good but the actual quality is poor. .

This portfolio came packaged very well. It is very stylish in the black color. I bought this for my fiance, but wanted to make sure the charging adapters work properly.The USB 3.0 is the end you plug into an appropriate outlet or your portable battery. The attached adapters is micro usb, usb type c and the usb lightning.The USB Type C did not seem to be compatible with my Samsung s10e phone. So, I used a Micro USB to USB Type C adapter and it is now charging perfectly. See image with adapter.I am so impressed with this portfolio that I need to order the beige colored one for myself. My fiance is a teacher and I know he will love it, I can’t wait to give it to him! .
Great idea. I have so many external batteries. I’ve had solar ones, case ones, extra batteries, wireless ones. This one is useful for working and if your battery is low plug in your phone and don’t miss a beat in your meeting.Already recommended one to my brother but they are sold out.Worth it. .
I neglected to note that the memo pad size is B5 size- 6.93 inches × 9.84 inches great for travel, but refill pads not as easily available as Standard 8.5 x 11. Since this is a gift, I was disappointed UNTIL LovieStyle responded instantaneously, with the appropriate link to purchase (no charge for shipping!) and, although it was my mistake, they came through with some extra pads!!More importantly, the portfolio is exactly as shown, really sleek!
