This seems to a well made machine and we have pounded the keys since we received it. It is very quiet and has excellentprint out as far as being able to read the tape. However there is a button missing the a c button (all clear) and there seems to bea space left blank in the key pad for it. On several occasions when doing calculations past enterys made their way into currentcalculation and since there is no all clear key to clear everything ready for new entery I was not able to trust the results. SoI had to turn off the machine to be sure everything was clear how frustrating this is If you need to trust your calculationyou might want to choose a machine that has the all clear key on it.Other than that it is very well made. .
I have used calculators over the years and this is the worst EVER. I have had Sharp calculators for many years and have never had problems before, but this one has been a catastrophe. The paper advancer does not advance the paper correctly. It started out ok, but now 9 months later it will not advance the tape with any rhyme or reason. Sometimes it it right, sometimes the numbers are right on top of each other and you can not read any numbers on your tape. I have changed the tape rolls and even bought the nice expensive thick rolls to see if that was the problem. No help! I am not sure if this particular machine has a glitch in it or is this model. .
I purchased this calculator to replace an older model. I love the keyboard layout on the Sharp calculators and have used many of these over the years. They are a good quality and a reasonable price. I have used nothing but Sharp for many years. And Amazon shippers are great with a speedy delivery. .
Plug & play. I tried the used as it was half price and described as in good working order. It is a very high quality calculator, everything works great and was 1/2 price. A few scratches and dings, but 100% fully functional. .
