At first I thought the solar power component wasn’t working, so I added batteries, and the same thing was happening.First off, it doesn’t actually calculate simple addition correctly. For example 600+5 = 603Secondly, the screen display is AWFUL. It doesn’t actually show the whole part of a number.I’ve tried to attach a video so you can see this horrible calculator in action and avoid it at all costs. . As they say, you get what you pay for.While there are two calculators, two of a lousy product is double trouble. The keys are not responsive. The if the solar strip get blocked a little bit the display fails. I am left handed and when I use the calculator my hand will come in between the solar strip and the ceiling light. When that happens the numbers disappear. Mind you, I’m not talking about it being dark around the calculator. There is enough ambient light for the solar cell to collect. I’ve have calculators of this type for years without experiencing this issue.Then the keys . some I have to pound hard to get a digit out.Sorry. I cannot recommend this product. Spend your money on a Casio or Texas Instrument. . I bought these to just have as quick grabs in the office & kitchen. They have that solar/light panel & the battery option. I popped batteries in each multiple times & played around with them but can’t seem to darker the #s or brighten the screen to be able to see easily. Eh, not going to go through the return process for these. Just will say do not recommend 🙁 . I bought these calculators in Aug 2018. As of March 2019 they no longer work. My old hand-held calculator lasted me well over 10 years. I actually still use it; I just needed another for home and office. Oh well. Can’t return obviously. In the trash it goes. Read more

Top Reviews This product was a disappointment. I wanted a desktop calculator that would round off and didn’t have a lot of buttons that I wouldn’t use. This one seemed to fit the bill, but it’s even bigger than I expected because the keys are very tall. If they had a solid feel to them like an old PC, then I would have been OK with that. Instead, it feels and even sounds cheap as you type in numbers. I’m hoping that if I drop it enough times, it will break, so that I can justify buying a replacement. Given that it works as advertised (so far), I don’t think that I can return it. Instead, I telling you DON’T BUY THIS PRODUCT, or you too will be sorry you did. . Love the fact this solar calculator acts like a real office machine. I don’t have to add the damn decimal. After years and years of working on a 10 key, putting a damn decimal in is just wrong. It should just do it, which this one does. The only thing would make it better if I could print, but I don’t really need that anymore. . Only thing I wasn’t too happy with when I received it, was it came with absolutely no instructions whatsoever just thrown in a box. And for those of us that don’t know what every function key does, it would have been nice to have some instructions to explain. I also didn’t notice that it was only battery and solar, I generally like my calculators to have a supply cord. . I bought this same calculator 20 years ago and it still works perfect. Only bought a new one because after 20 years of use the printed numbers on the keys have faded. Read more
