I bought this clock on November 24. I planned to use it as a Christmas present. When my purchase was confirmed I learned for the first time that delivery would not be until about January 9! Curious as to the reason, I followed the “tracking” link and discovered that my handmade clock was coming from Russia! The box finally arrived today bearing eighteen Russian stamps, a Moscow return address, and various labels in Russian and French. It was meticulously packed. When I opened it, I was dazzled. The photo really doesn’t do the clock justice. It is beautifully made and is not just handsome but spectacular. The hands had been carefully set at midnight, awaiting an AA battery. The recipient of this gift was thrilled and will treasure this clock. It seems, oddly, the more elegant and distinguished for having made such a long journey to Hartford, Connecticut. .
One word: Wonderful. Expertly crafted and looks terrific. An extra is that there is a second hand that moves effortlessly on the clock. Hard to believe that this is hand made. From the lucite front to the back, not even a slight defect. No stamp “Made in China” on this item. It’s a tad smaller than advertised. 28cm equals 11 inches. This is 10-1/2″, but it’s still a great buy. There are bolt nuts on the back which keeps this piece about 1/8″ away from the wall, which I like. Packaged very well without any damage. Took me awhile to unwrap. If you seek out unique items for your home, get one of these! Arrived relatively quickly from Moscow. Very glad that I purchased this, not clock, but piece of art. .
Absolutely love this clock. I purchased it for my wife for x-mas and she loves it!. The workmanship is excellent and it is a lovely unusual piece for her home office. My only advice is be very aware that this is coming from Moscow. I did not check and it took about 6 weeks to get to S. FL, so plan ahead if this is a gift but it was totally worth the wait. If you’re looking for an unusual statement piece this clock is for you. .
Very cool looking however these wooden gears do not move, they are for looks only. .

The 0 key did not work, so I have attempted to return it. I requested a pickup return. UPS was supposed to pick it up and have the return label. I have spoken to the UPS man and he has no label. I have left 3 comments over the last 2 weeks to attempt to get a label sent to me, so that I can send it back. I will take it to a drop off box! I have had no response. VERY DISAPPOINTED!! .
What can I say? A calculator is a calculator – this is a great value that looks nice and does the job!!! It does not have all the scientifical functions (that’s a different version) but if you are looking for an awesome calculator for basic use, this is definitely a perfect calculator for you! It is a good size and attractive to look at. The only thing I wish it had was backlighting for it to be rockstar perfect but I can read the nice large display perfectly unless I am in the dark so its just fine the way it is (and lets face it, there are other things I can be doing in the dark that are funner than trying to crunch numbers on my calculator.) Other than that, this has been a perfect calculator for my needs. As a matter of fact, I just ordered another one because I like it so much. .
I need to have a calculator stored next to my recliner in the living room so that I can add up figures while doing online shopping and also to figure out the birth years for some of the people in my genealogical tree. For some reason, I have tons of uses for a simple calculator. the size of this one is on the small side. It’s not the smallest one. I have THAT one in my handbag. It’s 3 1/3 wide by 5 long. Just perfect for small spaces, but large enough to see what you’re doing. Exactly what I needed in that one spot. .
This is a gem if you are looking for a basic, ergonomic, well-made and great-looking basic calculator.We love the button height, feel and size. We have no use for the tax buttons, but we love how they add a touch of color to the button array (they are turquoise).The display is fairly large, slightly titled upward and the bottom has tiny little rubber, non-marking button feet.The zero displayed is about 17mm high and 5mm wide.Love it so much, I ordered another one just to have it around the house. This is a beautiful, rugged, very well made, beautiful, hand made solid, heavy brass, Compass/sundial built like a pocket watch. It works really well. Both the sun dial and the compass work well. This beautiful piece of equipment arrived in perfect shape and was very well packed. Its leather case is very well made out of good strong leather. The little company that makes these has only five people working there. You can tell they are real artists in metal. Each part is hand made out of heavy, durable, brass, and each part is very well made.Here is how it works:1. Lay this Sundial/Compass on a flat place in the sunshine. I use an outside picnic table to lay it on.2. Push the button that looks like a watch winder. The spring loaded top will pop open.3. Turn the Sundial/Compass until the compass needle is pointing to the North mark on the inside of the Sundial/Compass4, Shut the top of the Sundial/Compass gently so as not to turn it and change the North setting.5. Now very gently pull up the Sundial arm until it is pointing straight up. (Or you can pull the sun dial arm up before you open the top)6. Look for the shadow of the Sundial arm on the face of the Sundial. The number that the shadow sets on is the time of day. For example, if the shadow of the sundial arm in covering the number II (Roman numeral for 2) on the face of the Sundial, it is two O’clock PM. (It doesn’t work at night, no sun you know) In case you don’t know the Roman numerals I is one, II is two, III is three, IV is four, V is five, VI is six, VII is seven, VIII is eight, IX is nine, X is ten, XI is eleven, and XII is twelve.A small extra gift was put in the with the Compass and a nice note from it maker thanking you for buying his work and telling you about the little company.This item is beautiful and perfect for display because it looks old, or, because it is so well made and rugged it can be for use on hikes, camping, metal detecting, etc.I recommend this item highly. .
I was expecting it to be cheap because the item was so inexpensive. It was actually pretty heavy and of good quality. I bought this as a Valentine’s gift for my husband and, when I took it to the local engraver, they thought it was a legitimate antique. I was so impressed with the final results for my husband’s gift that I showed it off to all my coworkers and sisters. They too we’re shocked about the price! At the end of the day when I gave it to my husband, he grinned so big! He loves old fashioned, practical things. This fit him so perfectly. I just wanted to thank the makers for putting forth such standup quality. Your good work has given us the ability to have a lovely family heirloom. 🙂 .
I was hoping it would look as cool and retro as the photo. Was not disappointed. It is beautiful and works well. Need to clean leather case and treat with saddle soap but other than that, very nice! Sundial flips out of the way like a pocket watch lid giving you a full unobstructed view of compass. .
This product is terrible quality. It’s essentially a cheap carnival trinket. It is very small and the chain that’s attached was tangled into the sundial beyond extraction. It does not look like the photo. There are similar but much higher quality items available on Amazon.Additionally, it took six weeks to arrive. The one I ordered from another seller was much nicer and Prime eligible. .
