The quality of the wallet is great except for one fatal design flaw. All of the card slots allow the cards to be removed quickly and easily with the exception of the one that’s designated as the ID window. That slot has a small lip of material that cards will get stuck on every time. No matter how small or nimble you fingers the card get stuck. The only way around it is to place a card that is long enough that it overlaps the internal lip so the ID card that you want to remove never gets stuck. You’ll be hard pressed to find a card that fits this description so I just cut a small index card to fit. .
Bought for my husband because I was tired of seeing his other one which was worn smooth out, which is not good Feng Shui. Heâ€™s left handed so for him compared to the old one it opens backwards, nbd. The only thing he and I both donâ€™t like about it is the ID slot. Instead of clear plastic with a cut out for easier access thereâ€™s a screen with no cutout for easy access. Overall itâ€™s a good quality product for the price. .
The product has arrived as described. Although it is the dimensions that are described in the product description, for my taste it is a bit large compared to the wallet I am replacing. I did not feel that the inch in length or the 1/4 in in with would make a significant difference, however the size does not fit in my back pocket as securely as I would like. This may change over time as the wallet is a bit stiff yet being new. .
Thereâ€™s not really much to say about it other than it does itâ€™s job. My only complaint is the ID pocket would probably be better with a plastic window with a thumb slide opening rather than a mesh cover. Overall itâ€™s a good wallet. .

Was actually surprised at how good the quality is. I expected a flimsier and thinner material binder. My other binders are very flimsy and thin; I thought this would be a little nicer but itâ€™s actually in a league of its own. I do recommend this. .

Nice soft leather. Holds multiple cards per pocket which I love. 2 things I don’t love – no built-in divider for the checks, so I can write on them without the carbon ruining several checks down. It comes with a piece of cardboard that I can use for that, but I’m sure I’ll lose it soon. The other thing is that I got the dark green. The pictures here show it as a bluish green, but it’s not. It’s just green. I’m a little disappointed but it’s otherwise very nice so I’m pleased enough. .

Umm, guys, the straight side of the “rings” are supposed to be on the RIGHT side, where the checks live, like on your cheaper versions (based on examinging photos on Amazon). This Cadillac version was made (and look at the picture!) with the metal piece attached upside down, so the semi-circular ring side is to the right. Which means the body of unused checks will not be properly stacked.Maybe this explains the deep discount? And now I see this is sold by Starbinders, which should have raised alarms.Embossed DAVID NATHAN on ouside — I guess I’m supposed to be impressed, but it means nothing to me. Great bonded leather, very nice luxurious touch. A++.UPDATE>>> After 2 months, the binder has withstood pretty much anything I threw at it. It has been left out in cold freezing weather, as well as got water splashed on. Everything inside stayed dry and even though it is not advertised weatherproof or bonded, it has done very well. However, the problem came with the zipper slider. After 2 months of light to moderate use, the metal zipper slider has come off its ring, as one of the fasteners has broken off cleanly. I did not expect this and do not think it is at all related to my use. There is no fixing it and I ended up having to attach a cord to it just so I can continue to use the binder. For a product of such good quality, I am frankly surprised at the lack of quality given its functionality depends on opening and closing the zipper. .
I waited a few weeks after I ordered this to write my review, mainly because I was skeptical from some of the reviews. As someone else reviewed, the complaint about the D ring being upside down is a bit ridiculous. I just flip it over and it works fine. You do have to pull the sheets out at the bottom to get the binder to fully close once it’s been fully open, but other than that, no real complaints. The quality of the leather seems good, and I’m very happy that I bought this anyway instead of listening to the negative reviewer. .
Great binder, I didn’t realize how hard it was to find a 7 ring binder nowadays. We purchased about 10 different binders and none of them would keep up with our daily use. The only odd thing is that it has a zipper all around the binder, this make sense for contractors that lug it around their truck everyday. We use it in our office but do toss it around the back when its time to close. .

Generally I was writing notes in both a small weekly planner and on sheets of paper in a clipboard. Originally I was looking for a cover for small 5×8 paper pad, but then decided a product like this with removable pages would be better. I spent hours reviewing the options and picked this one based on price, ring binder, full zipper closure, and the additional zipper storage on the front. (I use it left-handed and didn’t need the calculator anyway. Some asked if it could be removed – it slipped out easily. Now I keep some 3×5 cards in it’s place. I removed most of the pages to make it thinner and sticker-tabbed some pages for different topics. Excellent. (Only minor wish is it had holder for two pens in case one goes bad.) .
I’m able to slip my phone in the back pocket, and carry all my essentials. I used it during a physical inventory, had the calculator, pen and paper for notes, and my phone at hand, tucked under my arm. Ready for jotting notes, taking pictures, and adding counts, without errantly leaving something (my phone) behind. .

Can’t use it. My checks have copies on the back. The plastic flap that has to come between the copies of one check and the next checkhas to come from the bottom of the check. This does not. So will NOT be able to use this product. .
After just placing checks and check register in cover, it would not close. I didn’t even attempt to place the credit cards in it. It was very disappointing. I trashed it. I hope this helps others who are looking to replace their checkbook covers. This one is not it. .
Classy looking oxblood leather but it doesn’t work for its most basic function. My checkbook is a totally standard size but I couldn’t close the cover when I inserted the checkbook let alone if I had added cards or anything else. Too bad because I really wanted to like it! .
I finally grew tired of the cheap plastic checkbook cover from the bank, which was gradually falling apart, plus, I was starting up a new business and wanted something that looked decent, so I wanted to try one of these, for my personal account, to check out the quality, as well as replace the plastic one I’ve used for years.I opted for the Brown Crazy Horse. It is beautifully stitched, has the great new leather smell, and holds everything I need. The provided divider works great for my duplicate checks. With a brand new book of checks, it folds over fine, for closure, but, as with any checkbook cover I’ve used, I always put a rubber band around it.I don’t use a check register, but, if I did, I think closure would be more challenging, because this is not flimsy plastic, it is durable leather, has internal slots, a pocket, and an ID window, etc., so, naturally, the more it gets filled up with stuff, the more difficult it will be to just flip it closed.Probably the only way around that issue is to have a wider center section, I suppose, although that would make for a wider product, overall. All the internal elements work great. It’s professional looking, handsome, and, for ten bucks, I’m thrilled!I didn’t want to have to spend forty bucks, but still wanted an attractive leather product, and, after combing through all the options, this seemed the best one to try, and I’m very happy with what arrived to me.So much so, in fact, that I’m ordering one for my new business account as well!Hope this helps! Look at the pictures, they stick a single check in the image. This is NO WAY meant to actually carry a checkbook of checks. If you put a standard checkbook into this, YOU CAN’T FOLD THE HOLDER IN HALF. There is no room. Never mind trying to also carry that calendar/log thing. I would have never thought they would have been so idiotic when making this.What a complete waste of time having to return this thing. Looks like I am back to the plastic ones or I will open the packaging at Walmart/Target and test them, before I try to buy another nice leather one. .
That pic is deceptive as hell. The only way to get this to close with a book of checks in it is to make a slit along the exterior edge of the plastic, so your checkbook will fit. The pic shows checks the right way, but if you look close, no top binder shows in their pic. So you put them in with your top binder in the middle, and guess what? The book doesn’t close flat, as it should. Manufacturer needs to revisit this one. .

It is a very nice checkbook and seems well made. The Mulberry Pebble was only $7.99 and is a brown with a burgundy tone. I think it looks very good and as it is 100% Genuine Leather you can not beat it for the price.The Checkbook Protector Divider Insert for Duplicate Checks that came with it had to have one tab folded in the opposite direction to fit my duplicate checks but it does not seem to have hurt it and it seems sturdy enough, that I think it will last a long time. If it does not last as long as the wallet Amazon sells them so I can always get replacements.I am very happy with my purchase! .

Its strange how you cant find any information on Hiscow. I took a risk on this checkbook cover because it really was the only thing I could find that was what I was looking for. I wanted to keep my checkbook in my purse along with the register without a traditional cover opening up and my checks getting bent up (which happens all the time). I also did not want a ‘checkbook wallet’ – I carry high-end purses and wallets and already had a nice wallet. This checkbook cover is perfect for me. I have no idea how well it will hold up but if it even lasts a year or two, I will be satisfied. The leather is soft but it reminds me of the type of item you would pick up at a festival – definitely not high end leather like you would see with a Coach, Dooney, Kate Spade etc. Still, for the price, it is great for me and I like it. I am glad I ordered it. .
I wanted a simple, plain zippered checkbook cover. That is what this is. My duplicate checks, the check register and I can put a slim pen in in the fold and zip it shut. Again, absolutely perfect for me. Thanks HISCOW. .
I have had a cheap, crummy checkbook cover for ages and I finally got this one and I don’t know why I didn’t do it years ago. The quality is very high and I love that it is zippered and keeps things inside from getting ripped and crumpled. I highly recommend this. .
Just received this. I was a bit skeptical given the mixed reviews, but upon checking it out I wondered what all the haters were thinking about. This is simple but attractive. The leather is high medium quality and the stitching seems more than adequate. This is exactly what I was looking for.
