1 – Universal Typewriter Ribbon – 1/2 Inch Black and Red Ink Twin Spool Fresh and New
Top Reviews I bought a pair of these ribbons to install on my old typewriters, and they arrived on time and suitably packaged to prevent the ink leaking or getting dry.rnrnBoth of my typewriters use older reel systems that weren’t compatible with the plastic spools provided, but I was aware of this going in and it was pretty easy to install them on the old hardware. They fit nicely on the old Remington clip system (1936 Remington Noiseless Portable, the first two pictures), and I also wound one onto the smaller metal spools of a 1941 Imperial Good Companion Model T. The plastic ones are physically too big for the Imperial machine, but the ribbon length is still spot on since the old Imperial reels are thinner on the inside (see the third picture for the full length of reel wound onto one spool). I’d definitely say if you have metal spool and don’t want to replace them with the plastic, buy this product for the ribbon and then look up a video on how to re-thread old spools. It’s worth it to keep the old look with a fresh new supply of ink!rnrnThe ink is suitably dark and I haven’t had any issues with colour bleeding thus far. If anything, the ink is even darker on the Imperial because the Noiseless has an arresting mechanism that slows down the keys before they strike. I’d already been through the reel once before typing out the pictures, so what you’re seeing is the second pass and not even the ink at its freshest!rnrnOverall I’m quite satisfied with these ribbons and will probably buy more if my old ones run out or if I expand my typewriter collection.rnrnTL;DR: Works well on old machines, would recommend. . I bought this ribbon so I could finally use the red text mode on my typewriter. It was easy to install and very fresh! The color is saturated and clear. I’m very impressed with the quality of this. I will definitely buy this again! . Ribbons are very primed and proper.rnrnThe black and red strike really well and the spools are universal so they fit very well.rnrnThe end stop grommet is also affixed nicely and drags the reversal arm nicely.rnrnOverall a high quality ribbon and serves it’s purpose perfectly.rnrnOnly critique I have is that the red and black center seam is blurry creating ambiguity when using the underscore, but that is something fairly common in ribbons and could just be the strike angle of my 6 key. . Got the right product quickly – but the ink is very light. I was surprised and disappointed by the dryness of the ink/ribbon. Would send back, but we had to take the ribbon off the original spools and put it on a 1942 typewriter’s spools. I wanted to be happy with this product, but sadly it’s not been good in our case. 2 – Universal 35720 Adding Machine/Calculator Roll, 16 lb, 1/2″ Core, 2-1/4″ x 150 ft, White (Pack of 3)
Top Reviews This item is not returnable. Pay attention to the fact that the core of these tapes may be larger than the fitting for your adding machine. Also, there is no plastic fitting in the core to attach it to the adding machine but a kind of heavy paper. Unfortunately, because it is called universal, I thought it would fit my adding machine but it does not. I should have paid more attention. Now I have to eat the $6.00 I paid for them. . I was oddly surprised at how much I like this paper. When I got it, it appeared slightly darker than the rolls I already owned. However, once I used it, I realized that my Sharp calculator printed MUCH better on this type of paper than what I had been using. I think the really white rolls I had were possibly too slick, whereas this paper feels like the calculator grabs it better. It definitely prints better. I will be ordering this paper from now on. . When I acquired my printing calculator it came with a tiny roll of paper that would fit inside the machine. But knowing that most people would probably need more, the calculator came equipped with a swing-out bar that accommodates rolls this size. I ordered this paper at about the same time as I ordered the calculator and was happy to have this paper as back-up when the small roll that came with my machine was quickly exhausted.rnrnInstalling this paper in my calculator went without a hitch. As expected, the paper accepts the ink from the calculator without smearing and holds the imprints as long as I need them. A 150 long roll will last me a long time, so it was handy to just buy a three-pack at a reasonable price, have it delivered and not be overstocked. . I didn’t open the packet to use this adding machine tape until Feb 2020, although it was ordered months ago.rnThe product CLEARLY stated it was universal 2 1/4 wide. When I tried to put it in the adding machine today I realized it did NOT fit. I looked at the packaging and it said it was 2 1/2 not 2 1/4 as stated on the seller’s page. I am HIGHLY disappointed because when you need adding machine tape that you thought you had on hand, and then come to find out it did not fit I am infuriated!! Read more
3 – (12 Rolls) 2 1/4 x 150 ft, White, adding machine tape Paper Rolls, Premium One Ply Cash Register/Adding Machine/Calculator Roll Printing Calculator 10 Key
Top Reviews These work great, nice clean bold printing! Have had no problems. Good Quality. Remember thermal paper is only designed to be printed on one side. So if you are not seeing your receipts turn the paper to the other side! . I use these daily in my Epson TM-v88 receipt printers in my retail store. the thickness is good the surface is not too slick. You can actually write on them with an ordinary pen. Price was good. I would recommend. . Receipts print clearly and I have never had any paper that pens would not write on.rnAs a CUSTOMER, I have been to some stores where you try and sign the credit card receipt and the paper seems to repel all ink and it’s almost impossible to sign. I hate that! I don’t know what kind of paper they use or where they get it from but I have never had such a problem with this paper.rnThe price is good.rnPrint quality is normal.rnPens write on it with no issue. . Like many others stated, rolls received were in bad condition. The box had too much space so rolls were bouncing around in shipment which made the visible thermal scratches on the rolls. Also received 49 rolls instead of 50. Read more
4 – Business Source Receipt Paper 2.25 Inch x 150 Pack of 12 Rolls – White (28650)
Top Reviews I was looking for receipt paper that didn’t have the shiny finish for kids to use for projects. My grandkids have this taped to a wall throughout the house and use it for a timeline. They’ve also used it for many other art projects and coloring. . I HAVE A OLD ADDING MACHINE CALCULATOR. WAS NERVOUS TO ORDER THIS ITEM, NOT KNOWING IF IT WOULD FIT. TO MY SURPRISED, IT DID. THE QUALITY PAPER ON THIS ITEM, IS STURDY, AND EASY TO INSTALL, NOT LIKE I HAVE BEEN USING OTHER TYPES. THIS SELLER IS EXCELLENT, IN SENDING OUT PRODUCT ASAP, EXCELLENT ON TRACKING FROM BEGINNING TO END. THANK YOU SELLER FOR YOUR SERVICE. . I bought this to replace some cheap adding machine tape purchased from Staples because it was yellow and tore easily. This is that same color and not bright white as I hoped it would be.Picture shows the bright white tape I normally use. I haven’t tested it as I don’t know if I will return this item. . Delivery and all was good. The fault was mine I order wrong one. They not only were too big but not thermal for printing. Nothing printed on it. So sorry. But y’all were wonderful for me to return. I did reorder the correct one. Read more

6 – Universal 35715GN Adding Machine/Calculator Roll, 16 lb, 2-1/4″ x 130 ft, White (Pack of 12)
Top Reviews I guess it isn’t the fault of Universal because I didn’t pay better addition to the length of the roll. If you are a home owner or someone who doesn’t use their calculator a lot, these are perfect for you. I use my calculator a lot and go through a lot of paper. . These adding rolls work fine for my use and the price is OK. It is becoming much more difficult to locate these as several of my local sources no longer carry these in stock. . This paper feels much thinner than the Staples brand I’ve used in the past. It seems to run through the machine without an issue, but it doesn’t tear off as cleanly and it’s also not as bright white, which makes it a little harder to read at a glance. It’s acceptable, but I won’t be buying it again. . Good online value and price. Shipped quickly. Read more

8 – Mead Calculator Roll, 2 pack (65130), White
Top Reviews First purchased March 2017. Ordered this Mead product specifically for a heavier weight because the thinner generic rolls jammed in my calculator when starting a new calculation after tearing off the old one. The Mead worked perfectly. Just replaced with supposedly the same item (65130), but they have changed the paper and it’s even thinner than the generic. I’m stuck using up 4 rolls and fighting with this lousy paper for however many months/years it takes to use it up. Ugh! Open to suggestions if anyone knows of a calculator roll with nice heavy paper. . What can I say. Got exactly what I expected. And although one of the rolls had a slightly crushed plastic center, it still fit and worked on my old calculator. It appears to have been a manufacturing issue as there was no package damage. I also liked the idea that you could just purchase a couple of units. Most local stores either don’t stock this type of stationary product any longer or require that you purchase a larger quantity. . I used part of a roll the next day after I go it. I had book work to do getting ready to get taxes done. It’s nice and white and the numbers showed up very good. . Item arrived on time, without any damage and fit perfectly.rnrnHighly recommend purchase. Read more
9 – FHS Retail Thermal Receipt Paper, 2.25 Inches x 165 Feet Roll, 6 per Pack
Top Reviews Most of the time, paper rolls must fit into a certain space to be used.rnFor this reason, it is essential that the size of the paper roll be clearly listed in the product descriptions.rnI am stuck with a bunch of paper rolls that do not fit into my devices — I let the return window expire by 10 days, so I cannot return it for an exchange anymore.rnrnIn as much as the paper roll is a cylinder, 2 dimensions must be specified:rnThe length of the cylinder = width of the paper strip (this is given OK).rnThe diameter of the cylinder = most of the unknown, because it is not given; the totoal length of the paper strip can be used for an estimate, but is generally not sufficient to arrive at a useful dimension.rnrnI invite Amazon to insist on this dimension also, namely, the diameter of the paper roll — it would save a lot of grief for everyone. . Purchased to have on hand with a new register we purchased. This was the best price product for this register printer with the best written reviews. Good reviews and modest price means good value. I would purchase again. . just as i expected. not too thin and seems like good quality. fits the calculator like it’s supposed to. still can’t figure out what warmth is. . got for job, there is a staples by me and they always seem to be out of this. when they do have it its always a mega roll, which is expensive. this size fits my needs, don’t have to run around to stores to find, and fast easy delivery. as far a

10 – Body Fat Caliper, Body Tape Measure, BMI Calculator – Instructions for Skinfold Caliper and Body Fat Charts for Men and Women Included: Lightstuff Body Health Tool Kit
Top Reviews Being a Healthcare employee I’m well aware of how the BMI system works and doesn’t account for men that are not overweight but very muscular so I keep that in mind. The measuring tape and caliper is also a great tool as well, whether using it on others or wanting to keep track of your own progress. . Unfortunately, the calipers are non-functioning. They don’t make an audible click, so you have no idea when to stop squeezing. As a result, it’s impossible to get an accurate or consistent reading. I’ve seen two and both have the same issue. . Unlike other measuring tapes I’ve used, this one can be used without the help of someone else. Sometimes it can be difficult to get certain measurements on your own. But this tape has a little hook that allows you to loop the measuring tape around a body part and then securely lock it into place. I feel like it also gives you a more accurate measurement because it stops tightening on it’s own. . The calipers that were sent were defective- the slider moved easily (without even using the calipers) and where it ‘clicks’ into place did not line up most of the time.rnThe reason i gave it 2 instead of 1- i qanted to give the company the benefit of the doubt since i had not reached out to them. 11 – OFFIDIX Office Desk Calculator 12 Digit Large LCD Display Calculator Office Desktop Calculator, Dual Power Electronic Calculator (Orange)
Top Reviews There are many nice things about this calculator, but there are also a few things that I don’t like. I like the size of it, and I like the nice large buttons that are easy to use. I love the bright orange and white colors of it. I also really like the large display that is eye-angled. I like that it has dual power, and that you can use a AA battery in the compartment, which is very practical. The OFF key is also a very nice feature that many calculators don’t have.rnrnWhat I don’t like about this calculator is that it is very lightweight plastic, so it tends to move around while in use, even though it has anti-skid pads on the bottom of it. The tiny pads are useless when it comes to keeping it in place while using it. I find that very annoying. . Bought it August 11, 2018, it sucks. I put a battery in which wouldn’t fit properly and the plastic piece broke so I taped it shut. I love the size it was similar to one I had for years. This worked well a few times then it started only showing partial numbers remember that’s with a battery to assist the solar. . I must have gotten a different calculator than the other higher reviews – does not fill in the numbers ever! have changed batteries and tried everything short of standing on my head to read it but I know I will donate to the garbage man – I depend on my calculator at craft shows so will look for one that will work for me!!! . I am so tired of multiple fake Amazon reviews, it is evidently the norm. Do they think that folks won’t bother with the hassle of the return ? Wtf.rnrn Unreliable and freezes up. Read more

13 – Porelon 11216 Universal Twin Spool Calculator Ribbon, 6-Pack,Black/red
Top Reviews The ribbons I received had almost no ink in them. I don’t know if they are dried out or just never did have any ink in them. It’s possible it’s a fluke but this is a complaint others have had so at least a percentage of these ribbons are no good. I placed the order on Jan 18th and got them in a couple of days. This is March 6th and it’s already as pale as the one I replaced that came in the calculator when I got it in February of 2018. So, the original ribbon lasted from mid-January 2018 until January 2020. – roughly two years. This ribbon lasted a month. I have five to go. We’ll see what happens. . The item was very easy install and works very well after installing . Seems like the footage goes quickly . Other than that printed nice . . It fit easily into a decades old Casio desktop calculator. Should have order a replacement tape a long time ago. . Our Casio Calculator now works perfectly with new ribbon. Great quality and very easy to install. Read more

17 – Sharp EL1197PIII Two-Color Printing Desktop Calculator Black/Red Print 4.5 Lines/Sec
Top Reviews I am super happy with my purchase. This is a full size adding machine. Everything works fabulously plus is has a nice sturdy base. . The extension cord is so short that you have to be sitting right next to a plug in. . I returned a slower machine. This one is only a little bit more expensive and is completely worth the extra money. Most of the other machines only print 2 lines per second. I thought it would be good enough I was WRONG. 2 lines per second is very slow in the real world. This one prints 4 lines per second. Very happy with purchase. . Very Nice! This calculator is just like my old one I had for 30 years. Easy to get new printer ink and calculator paper for it. I needed another one for in the office. It works great! Read more
18 – Adding Machine/Calculator Roll, 2-1/4″x150 ft White 12/Pack, UNV35715
Top Reviews Half of the cores were out of round. Because of this, the tape kept going sideways and would eventually not move. Obviously, when running a large amount of numbers it goes unnoticed that numbers are printing on top of each other. I was able to round the core out, but I shouldn’t have to fix a product in order for it to function properly. . This pack of paper rolls for my adding machine came quickly, were just what I needed and were priced very economically. While a paperless world would be a great idea, it is not totally practical, so I have to use paper rolls on my adding machine. . I just started to use the first of these tapes and I had an incredibly difficult time just trying to get it to feed into my printing calculator. It kept skewing to the left and tearing. I finally got it to work after three or four frustrating attempts. The paper is very soft and has an off color instead of pure white. I’ve never had such problems with printer paper tape before. I’m going to buy a replacement immediately and I’m throwing these twelve rols in the trash. . The paper is cheap and the end is glued down so that you have to cut the roll to get it open to put into the machine. Really bad. I may trash and just order a better brand. That’s what i get for being cheap 🙁 Read more
19 – Victor 1205-4 12 Digit Portable Palm/Desktop Commercial Printing Calculator
Top Reviews I was replacing a similar calculator that died after serving me well for around 10 years. I hope this one (a different brand) will be as durable.rnI like an old-fashioned, simple calculator with printout, and this one fits the bill. . Not 2 color but it’s compact . The buttons are easy to push and feel good. Has all the features I need and it small and portable, doesn’t take up much room _ It does not show red on subtract but I can manage without that. . It’s small, yet diverse enough to use it for a variety of things. The weight of the calculator is good, and yet, it’s not too heavy. I like the touch of the keys as well; it’s comfortable. I’m retired, and use it as needed, and so far it’s been working well. I called Victor to ask them a question, and their Customer Service was friendly and eager to help.rnrnWhat more could I ask for? . I had my Canon for probably 8 to 10 years. This one Victor lasted five months. It worked at first I literally only used it five times in five months but the fifth time was a disaster. It completely started spitting out bad numbers I thought it was me at first. Then I would be adding up a column of receipts when I got to my eighth or ninth the screen went back to zero again I thought it was me but it happened three or four times I finally gave up and threw it in the trash very disappointed. Today I am buying another Canon. I do not recommend this product to anybody. This product needs to go back to the drawing board. Read more
20 – Sharp EL-1801V Ink Printing Calculator, Fluorescent Display, AC, Off-White
Top Reviews I have now purchased 2 of the Sharp EL-2192RII after having multiple older models for years prior with no problems. I recently ordered the first EL-2192RII and after the refund/return period had expired with Amazon, the machine broke. During normal operation, I pressed the total (*) button and the motor that advances the paper will not shut off/stop. The only way I have found to stop the motor is to unplug the unit because even with power switch in off position the motor continues to run. The second unit I ordered began doing the same thing after only a few days and I sent it back to Amazon. . I bought this printing calculator (adding machine) because I used this one at my last place of employment. I ordered it, it came in less than a week. I received it on Wednesday 9/2/2020. On Thursday, 9/3/2020, I brought it to work, took it out of the box, and plugged it in. I started to add a list of numbers. I noticed the sum was way off. To make a long story short, the 5 key does not work. I unplugged and boxed it back up. On Friday, 9 /4/2020 I called the number on the invoice. Spoke
to a woman who instructed me to forward her my order confirmation from Amazon and the number off the bottom of machine. I did. She sent back a really that she wanted a picture of the display, 123456789, so she could see the 5 wasn’t working. Are you serious??? She asked how long I have been using this calculator more than once. It’s all packaged and ready to go. I want a refund. If I don’t get a response, I will report the company to PayPal. . Update: I’ve used this type of calculator for over a decade. This new one now has the same problem as several other people stated. The paper feed motor never stops. Turning off the power does not make it stop. It has to be unplugged. Major piece of junk. I’m really unhappy with this and it’s too late to send it back. Had it about six months. For now my phone calculator is better than this thing.rnrnI had to take the entire thing apart to bend the paper feeder in order for it to accept the paper. It’s still fickle but I got it to work. It wasn’t damaged that I could see it was just a bad design. . The picture is deceiving the actual machine is very large and wide. Only hassle was getting the paper into the feed area have to be patient and make sure to cut the leading edge off. Works great, lots of tips and instructions on how to make the most of the features. 21 – Sharp EL-1750V Two-Color Printing Calculator 2 Lines/Sec 3″ Black/Red
Top Reviews I know everyone loves Canon, but these old Sharp adding machines feel so much better to me. I ordered both Canon and Sharp (and needed the kind that could run off batteries) and compared them side by side. Here is what I found: the Sharp screen is BRIGHTER than the Canon. The Canon has some bleed through, like a digital clock where you can see some of the ghosting of the numbers even though they are not actually being used. The Sharp has a minimal amount, much less than the Canon. The Canon was annoying.rnrnSecond, the buttons on the Canon are lower profile, those on the Sharp are higher profile. I like higher profile because there is less chance of me hitting the wrong numbers. If someone was really good on these, they may prefer lower profile. Also, the buttons on the Sharp look old-fashioned I LIKE old-fashioned!rnrnFinally, the layout made more sense to me on the Sharp. Sizes and placement of buttons was better. Of course you can see this clearly from the photos, which ever you prefer. The one thing you can’t see from the pictures is that the Canon has WAY more ghosting than the Sharp. . I needed a relatively small calculator to take it with me, or just to use it in my busy desk with not enough outlets in the right place. The adding machine also had to be big enough to accommodate my big fingers. Of course, I was looking for one that could operate with AC or DC.rnrnAlso, it is amazing to me that calculators in this price range most of them don’t have the capability to keep time and to make date calculations. If they have it, they lack a battery backup in case the machine is disconnected or the battery is exhausted.rnrnMany years ago when I learned to use the keypad by touch, there was a feature in the old mechanical calculators that allowed you to input, say, 1234 to signify 12.34, to avoid pressing the period button for every entry. This mode is called A, for adding machine. It is very handy when you want to add many entries. In this mode you don’t have to deal with the dot key, which is almost always in the wrong place.rnrnThe Sharp EL-1750V has all these features and more.rnrnThe only con that I found (which is also very common among adding machines and I do not know why) is the odd way to perform subtractions. Let’s say you to calculate 10 – 3. You will enter 10, then the plus sign, then the 3 and finally press the minus key. Even little simple calculators will require you to enter 10, the minus sign and the 3. Is shorter and more logical.rnrnGreat little adding machine!rnThis little machine was the only one that fit my bill. . The calculator itself is light and easy to use, with a large display screen. On the downside, I waited too long to open the box to discover it didn’t come with an AC adapter, as shown on the box. So I missed the return window by quite a bit–my mistake. Overall it’s a handy device that does the job, no frills or extras. Good enough for home or home business use. . This isn’t your cheap $8 calculator that’s hard to read and the key spacing is a problem. I replaced a larger typical desktop blue-digit florescent printing calculator that cost 3-times what this little gem cost. Since I’m retired now, I didn’t need a large space-taking monster on my desktop. Did I have to get use to the keys on the Sharp? Of course I did but that’s not a complaint like other reviewers have stated. It’s a different machine — there’s always a learning curve. And some stated the red (-) negative key is located in an awkward area — again, it’s different, but I got use to it by day two. No big deal. Best features: good key spacing, solid feel, large, good contrast easy-to-read digits (approximately 18mm high X 7mm wide), clock/date feature, nice two color printing, fairly quiet, very small foot print, properly-angled digit display (you won’t need a calculator stand), non-existent glare on the display area even with direct over-head lighting, easy to read key labels, and easy to follow directions (if you have a magnifying glass). The last statement is a small irritant of mine — all publishers are now using tiny fonts to save paper I guess. But I really didn’t need the directions since the unit works like most business calculators. I had to laugh at one reviewer that complained about the order of entering numbers — like entering a number, pushing the “+” sign, and then entering another number, then pushing the “-” key to subtract the second number. Remember this is not a grade-school 8-buck calculator. ALL business calculators work this way — it’s based on true math/accounting principles: you first enter a positive number, then you “add” a negative number to get the result. Once you start thinking and using the machine this way it really starts to make sense. Any cons? The directions state you must enter military time to get the proper AM or PM final readout — but it doesn’t explain this very well. No biggie. Enjoy your little gem. Highly recommend! Read more
22 – 2 1/4″ X 85′ Thermal Paper (6 Rolls)
Top Reviews I bought it for a message holder. The paper was the perfect width, however I needed to be able to insert a plastic roller through the paper roll in order to mount to my message holder. My plastic roller was slightly larger and wouldn’t fit, so in order to to use the paper, I had to transfer the paper roll onto the spool of the previous roll of paper. . While we ordered the wrong thing, we actually wanted the paper that is doubled so the customer can have one and we keep one, this paper does what it’s supposed to. Easy to install and use and the shipping was quick. Thank you. . These work very well in my store cash register. I’ve never had a problem with this br

23 – Victor 15706 1570-6 Two-Color Ribbon Printing Calculator, Black/Red Print, 5.2 Lines/Sec
Top Reviews Seriously, do people read these? It’s a calculator people it can add, subtract, divide, multiply and spits out tape if you want it to just to prove to people you are not randomly smashing keys and giving them fake numbers. Yes it is comfortable to use, but I would think if it was more painful to operate then actually HAVING to use a calculator on a daily basis that no one would ever use one in general. It’s not overly loud, it makes great calculator calculating noises which most people treat as white noise and don’t even register as hearing. If it made BEE-DO BEE-DO sounds more office violence would occur world wide. Oh you DO plug it in just in-case some person is wanting to walk around with a dinner-plate sized calculator you can not do that with this. So 5 stars for doing the thing that it’s designed to do well but not having the ability to play games on it like the calculator I needed in high-school (which by the way I NEVER needed a graphic calculator in the real word Mrs Johnson so you can just suck it). . I worked as an accounting clerk for over 22 years and I never heard of this brand before. I recall using Sharp. I liked that the other reviewers said they’ve used this brand for a very long time. I’m retired now but still have an occasional need to add up some numbers when I file my income tax returns. I like the key action. This machine feels real solidly made. I also like that it has a ribbon. I had a machine with one of those ink rollers one time and the ink roller dried out. So I got a bottle of ink and thought I’d just ink up the roller myself. My recommendation is to just get a machine with a ribbon and then just change the ribbon as needed. Buy once and buy right. . Seems to be good quality overallrnrnPros: Good visual led readout,rn Good number placement with very responsive feel.rn Easy load paperrnrnCons: No cartridge ribbons (really, the cheap ones have cartridges, hate my fingers black & red)rn Has the 2 1/4 paper instead of the 2 3/4 paper so everything seems to be smashed to the rightrn Item count only seems to work if you hit the N button after entering the last number and before hitting the total button. I cannot figure out how to put this function permanently.rn Has many many funtions, as a CPA I will not use, just needed a heavy duty adding machine . The machine deserves a 5 star rating but I returned it for the next version down, as its C/CE button is in a bad location for me. I would buy it again if the button could be relocated to the bottom most, left location. It was an amazing machine. Read more
24 – Monroe Systems for Business 6120X 12-Digit Business Medium Duty Calculator, Black
Top Reviews After going through multiple Canon, Casio and other brand adding machines I have become disgusted with the sticking buttons and malfunctioning printer. So, I finally broke down and bought a Monroe System. So far I have been using this machine in my business for a few months. The quality difference between Monroe and Canon, Casio, etc. is astronomical. When we wear this machine out (much longer than other brands) we will definitely be purchasing another. . Where do I start? I’m an accountant and have been using adding machines for 30 years. I got this one ten weeks ago. This adding machine doesn’t recognize my zero unless I pound on it, it generates incorrect figures, the top piece comes loose after about 20 numbers input, so the paper jams unless I stop in the middle of a column of numbers to push it back in place. Bottom line – I can’t trust it, so I’m constantly re-adding my columns and double checking the tape. This is NOT helpful and causes me more work. It worked pretty well for a month, but then started throwing more and more errors. . The words Business Medium Duty, mean nothing. It seems to be identical to the lower price gray model except for the color, which I am replacing. The #6120 is very good for home and small business needs. To bad Monroe does not include a plastic dust cover for the Mod 6120.rnMAT in Sun City Center, FL . Good quality product. After buying cheaper adding machines for years, I finally decided to buy a quality one. This prints well and is reliable. Based on what my accountant who recommended it says, this should last me for many years. Read more
25 – Victor Technology PL8000 Thermal Printing Calculator, Prompt Logic, Help Key, 8.0 Lines Per Second
Top Reviews I’m an accountant, and I’ve been using calculators for over 40 years, or since before the first electronic calculators were on the market by Casio. I know Victor has been making adding machines and mechanical calculators since the beginning of time, but this one, I think, tries to do too much. While the clock is a nice feature, the machine goes to sleep when the clock comes on. You need to wake it up before using the functions. If you just hit a number, that just wakes it up, but doesn’t enter the first digit. It’s frustrating. There is probably a way to change the settings and eliminate the clock feature so it doesn’t go to sleep, but I just don’t have time to play with it. Another issue is the paper. Yes, I knew it was a thermal printer before I bought it. That’s really what attracted me to it. But I didn’t realize the thermal paper rolls were so small. You don’t get much for your money. And with the cover over the roll, while it looks nice, you never know how low your paper is getting until you’re out. I guess you could leave the cover off, but what’s the point in that. They should have made it clear or smoke colored. A GOOD THING: It is fast. I consider myself to be pretty fast at running numbers on a calculator. This one has a pleasant touch and will not lag behind like some cheap calculators will. I could go on, but I’ll probably just go back to my old Canon when I have time to switch them out. . I wanted to like this item and I did all except for the display. It’s horrible . The numbers have to be viewed at just the right angle to come out Clear and easily seen. The green display at other angles totally washes out the digits and make them hard to see .returning item after using it for 5 min. Frustrating . . Can’t see the numbers on the screen. Worst thing I’ve bought in years. smh . This calculator is great and the deal was great too. It cost $20.00 less on Amazon than Office Depot. Read more

27 – Canon P23-DH V 2 color mini-Desktop Printing Calculator
Top Reviews This is our second Canon P23 DHV. We purchased our first Canon P23 DHV well over 10+ years ago and decided to replace it after the paper feed mechanism started to “slip” and did not properly advance the roll of paper. We used it at least 3 – 4 times each week for such tasks as balancing our checking account against that posted electronically by the bank. We elected to purchase the “same” model since we were pleased with it’s performance and longevity. The new printer calculator is very similar to the original but there are some minor changes. The printer provides very legible characters and generic replacement ink rollers can be purchased from Amazon at a reasonable price. . Nice easy to press and see buttons that don’t get pressed accidentally. Buttons feel very nice to press. Big characters on display – great for my 87 year old mother. The diamond sign for note entry or subtotal is great feature. Just be sure you are prepared for the “adding machine” instead of the “scientific calculator” type order of buttons. To add 3 and 2 you press 3 then + then 2 then + and you see 5. You DON’T press 3 then + then 2 then = as you might on scientific calculators. Once you are used to this it is handy but a bit confusing at first. And the = key is for multiplications, the * key is for totals of additions and subtractions. Not obvious if you don’t know it and don’t read the directions. Great device. Came quickly and had AC adapter, with ribbon and a little roll of tape for printing on. I love it. . Works beautifully for my needs. Lots of functions for the general accounting that I, as a PTO Treasurer, am tasked with accomplishing. It can run on battery or electricity and the cord is decently long. My favorite function is that when you have multiple checks for the same amount, e.g. $25.00, you can type the 25.00 in the first check, and just hit the + button for each additional check in that amount. It can also give you a total of items added up when you total the amount, which is helpful when handling 100’s of checks during fundraising events (for example you have 72 checks on a tape, and it will print a 72 out to the left of the total amount). Those sound like very simple needs, and they are, but those functions save me TONS of time when I have to run two tapes on each deposit. Prints very well, also. . UPDATE 4-9-2018 CALCULATOR NO LONGER WORKS AS OF TODAY.rnrnThis calculator got extremely light use by one person, me. I’ve used it to do the bills once a week & balance 2 checkbooks once a month, it’s never been dropped & it was unplugged and stored inside a drawer after each use. Today I got it out & turned it on to do bills & the calculator no longer calculates. The only button that responds when pressed is the FEED button. All other buttons are completely unresponsive. I pressed the Reset button on the back of the calculator 3 times & each time the calculator shut off & turned back on when I released the Reset button but this reset process did nothing. Completely worthless piece of junk that apparently will have to go in the trash because the warranty is 1 year & I bought it 1-30-2017 & it’s first use was 2-6-17. I emailed Canon & if they stand behind their name with a replacement, I’ll update my review here.rnrnMy original review:rnSo far so good with this product. The only thing I don’t care for is the auto shut off after approx 5 minutes. I’ve been meaning to look at the manual to see if there’s a way to deactivate that feature but haven’t had the time to look into it yet.rnUpdate 3-1-2017 googled my shut off question which took me to another Amazon reviewer who said pushing the CE/C button wakes the calculator, which it does. The auto shut off is still a goofy & IMO an unnecessary “feature”. Read more
28 – PM Company Perfection Two Ply Carbonless Rolls, 3 X 95 Feet, White/Canary, 50 Rolls Per Carton (07901)
Top Reviews Only 6 of the rolls in this package have the red “warning strip” that alerts us that the ticket printer paper is about to run out. Which we discovered today when we ran through one of the rolls without the red strip, and had no idea that we were out of paper and missing orders during our lunch rush. Of course, the return window closed yesterday, so we are now out the cost of the paper as well as what we had to comp the customers who had a long wait for their lunch today. All in all, this case of paper cost us about $200 and probably some customers as well. I’m pretty unhappy about this–what are we supposed to do, unroll every roll of printer paper and check to make sure it’s not defective as soon as we receive the case? Never again. . I got my box and the rolls smell fine, and they also print fine in the printer.rnrnSeller / Packager:rnPlease put paper / divider between 1st layer and 2nd layer of rolls in the box.rnThe sticker that tape the rolls together is loose and the top rolls unravelling over the bottom roll and the sticker get stuck together.rnSo when I reach in and pull a roll out it was loose and stuck to the roll at the bottom. Make sure the sticker tape the rolls tight and the top and bottom layer don’t unravel should fix the problem. . Didn’t think the feel and look of these [recycled content?] carbonless rolls would give us the same crisp results we’ve had with the whiter, brighter rolls we’ve used for years.rnrnWrong.rnrnThese cost much less, give excellent results, do not bind or ‘creep’ in our Star Receipt Printer, tear cleanly, and are very presentable. The rolls are actually longer by a few feet and are well-marked with their red low-paper warning stripe. They’ve stolen our hearts. Highly recommended! . We’ve recently moved out restaurant to a new larger location and our volume has tripled. It became evident that buying rolls of paper from Office Depot wouldn’t be cost effective. I ordered this paper based on price foe the quantity and I am extremely happy with the quality. I’ve found my new supplier. Read more

30 – PM Company Cash Register Two-Ply Carbonless Rolls, 2-1/4 x 90 Feet, 50 Rolls per Carton (07854)
Top Reviews This item is accurately described, shipped as advertised and delivered with no damage so I gave it five stars however upon using we discovered our cash register uses only thermal paper. Not the sellers fault. We have four establishments so perhaps another one may be able to use the them. I have not contacted the seller regarding the issue. I have not been able to find two ply thermal for cash registers (sigh). . Great price. Clear copy . Very economical, a little rugged and on the rough side but most people crumple up and toss receipts so archive quality paper isn’t the point here. . Update: ordered two of these; received both but only one was accurate with the description. One was 2 1/4†like described9 but the other was 3â€. Read more ~~ best calculators ,
