I’m a vettech and I need to do a lot of drug calculations on the spot. This calc is perfect for the job, fits perfectly in my scrub pockets. .
This is a great little calculator in a hard case. My smartphone has a better calculator but everytime I try to use it I get calls and texts. This calculator does everything that I need to do. .
Basic little pockulator (what we called them back in the day when they first came out – yes, I’m that old). I throw one in my knitting bag to calculate stitches per inch, etc., has battery back-up for no light situations. .

2 – Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus CE Color Graphing Calculator, Teal (Metallic)
I’ve had this calculator for over 2 years now. It’s served me faithfully all that time, and software and programs work flawlessly. It does what it’s meant to do. No problem there. However, I’m ignoring the elephant in the room, the price. I bought the calculator for over $110 2 years ago, and the price hasn’t really changed since. A Barclays analyst estimated it cost TI between $15-$20 to manufacture a TI-84+, but it’s sold on Amazon for quadruple as much. Amazon itself sells a full-fledged tablet for fifty bucks, which often goes on sale for $40. The TI-84+CE comes with a 0.08 MP screen, a 15 MHz processor, 3 MB of storage, and 154 KB of memory. On the other hand, Amazon’s basic fire tablet has a 0.5 MP screen (6X more), a 1.3 GHz processor (85X more), 8 GB of storage (2500X more), and 1 GB of RAM (6000X more). The Fire Tablet also includes Bluetooth, WiFi, cameras and the like. All for less than half the price. By no means is the Amazon Fire Tablet the best tablet out there; it is just a cheap tablet made by a reputable brand whose specs leave the TI-84+CE miles behind. TI gets away with this highway robbery because its calculators are standardized, and classes are much easier to teach when all the students have the same (or similar) calculator. In that sense, TI has a monopoly on graphing calculators and gets to charge what it wants. So, in the end, my calculator works. However, I slashed two stars because I bought cheap tech that is way overpriced. Not worth the money at all, but I didn’t really have a choice. TI is the accepted brand. .
Imagine my surprise when I found out that my old TI-83 didn’t have enough power to do everything I needed it to do for my next three math classes, College Algebra (math 114), Calculus for Business and Stats! After a lengthy conversation with my Math Professor, she recommended I pick up a TI-84 and if i was willing to pay a bit more get the color version. Man am I glad I did. This Calculator is so much fun. It’s like walking around with a mini computer in my pocket. I can put in my functions Ysub1 and Ysub2, Hit graph and whamo out comes this pretty graph, like the TI-83 it does handle a lot of numbers, you can set equations to zero and off you go running, however unlike the older version, you are not constrained with having to remember when to use or close parenthesis. I’ve run the same things through both calculators and was amazed when the older version basically had a heart attack when the TI-84 chugged through the answer. This one is rechargeable, which means you need to plug it into the wall and top off the battery, it comes partially charged. Color changes are super easy with just a touch of a few buttons. Outside of that it does have a larger memory so upgrades are a breeze. I an unable to speak at this time as to the battery life as I just bought it this week and haven’t had to charge it but the one time.Whats in the package:1. TI-84 Plus CE1 – Micro USB/ USB Mini-B port1 – USB/USB Mini-B port for charging1 – Cover1 – TI-84 Plus CE for Dummies pamphlet2 additional pamphlets for the TI-84 Plus CE1 -Warranty pamphletThis is really a good upgraded calculator that meets the needs of those who are going to school for general math and moving on to stats. I’m a business major so my math will end at Stats and Calculus for business. I really do like this new unit! .
I’m disappointed with how this arrived. I’ve been really looking forward to using this calculator, but I’m gonna be returning it. It came with multiple scratches (they’re not that noticeable at first but you could definitely see it there) all over the calculator like described in other reviews.I also have to pay for the return shipping fee on my own. .
I had a TI-84 in college. It was great. I ordered this calculator for my daughter for school and it arrived a day later than promised. When it was turned on the screen was white and blank. Thinking it needed to charge, I charged it for 24 hours. It is still white and blank. When it is plugged into the computer, it says that the OS is missing. I will be returning it. .

3 – Helect Calculator, Standard Function Desktop Calculator, Black
This calculator was exactly what I was looking for for my home office. Using the calculator on my phone was endlessly frustrating, and I only need to do the four basic functions. I was looking for an inexpensive desk top calculator that would be easy to use, easy to see the display, and of good quality. This product seems to have answered all of these simple requirements, although the display is not back-lit, so in poor light you will have difficulty seeing the numbers. .
The versatility of having a battery plus also having a solar option on here makes this very nice. The different colored buttons the fact of the buttons are larger than normal and have a nice response when pressing them to reassure you that when you press the buttons it is registering in the calculator. It is a quite large calculator as expected. My only suggestion would be to make it so that it could be flat to make it easier for transport to work and home but that would be a. Very sturdy design. .
This is a super calculator for office use! Has solar and battery options so no more switching off when you are half way through adding up accounts. The screen is raised so easy to read when you are typing ( you don’t have to keep leaning over it to see display). Nice size buttons so less mistakes when typing fast. Really pleased with this purchase! .
This calculator does exactly what it is supposed to do . sit in the top drawer of my desk so I can get to it quickly and easily. It has a low profile so my desk drawer opens without a problem. The button are large enough that there is little chance of hitting to at the same time. It does everything I want it to for an extremely reasonable price . what more could you ask for?!?!? .

4 – Sharp EL233SB Standard Function Calculator
I bought my first ElsiMate in 1993. Sometime in 2018 I started to worry that the battery might run out, so I bought a replacement. Sure enough, the battery ran out in late 2019 after lasting a mere 26 years, actually closer to 27.During those 27 years, I used the ElsiMate a lot, maybe not every day, but certainly several times a week, mostly to crunch money numbers. Never even came close to failing, never had the slightest problem. Worked faithfully, year after year, decade after decade. I intend to replace the battery. Meanwhile I have my brand-new ElsiMate, which worked perfectly out of the box of course. If you want a simple calculator to do simple numbers, and never have to worry about it breaking or running out of battery for a loooooong time, this is it. Highly recommended.Update: March 2020. It looked like the battery had run out, but the calculator started working again and worked for several more months. Finally it started giving unusual display results. I replaced the battery but it had no effect, so it must have been the LCD monitor that conked out, not the battery. So, after 27 years, the calculator has finally given out, but believe it or not the original battery still has juice, it’s the display that finally stopped working. I would say I got good value! .
After 40+ years of outstanding performance, my previous Sharp calculator Elsi Mate EL-405 made in Japan, reached its expiration date.Naturally, this was replaced by two new Sharp Elsi Mate EL-233S calculators made in China.Due to robotic use and lower manufacturing price, current selling cost is about the same as the original calculator! This is an amazing track record for Sharp Corporation .Your whole company rocks!! I recommend Sharp! .
I bought two of these for my fourth grade twins, for school this year! They work great and are very easy to use and I am very happy with how simple it is to use! This a great starter calculator! It is also a great calculator for simple math! Both work great, they are well made and my kids use them and play with them all the time! They are extremely durable! I would definetly recommend and I will definitely buy again when my other little ones are ready for them! .
Excellent compact calculator, use this same model for work every day for the last 15 years. I get around 1 1/2 years use before the battery goes dead either replace battery or get a new calculator. Fits into your pocket perfectly. I wear xl gloves fits in my hand good no problems with the buttons with my big fingers. Would recommend this if you are looking for a small calculator. .

5 – Deluxe Server Book with Secure Money Pocket -Made in USA -Waitress book fits in server apron -Waitstaff Organizer Servers Wallet -Most Durable Waiter book with FREE Order Pad & FREE Calculator
I got this because my old server book that I had kept from a previous job was starting to fall apart. I wanted something that would hold up despite a lot of use. I was really impressed when my server book arrived early! This server book is industrial. I had been debating whether it would be worth spending the $35 and it definitely has been. The book is very sturdy and almost feels like there are steel plates on the inside. I know they used the same material that emergency officials use, but seeing and feeling the book in person puts things into perspective. I use my own server writing books that I had previously bought from Walmart and they fit perfectly in the slot created. I have been able to keep my time cards in the back pocket and my customers’ receipts in front of the pocket window. My pen clips onto the pen hook quite well but without being a hindrance when I need to get it out. I use this server book 5 days a week, for sometimes 7 hours straight and it has held up to everything I have thrown at it. It has been very easy to clean off the front when I have spilled soda or chili on it. I would definitely buy it again and would recommend this book to any waiter/waitress! This is the best server book that I have ever owned! .
I love this–I feel so organized. I work in a fast-paced restaurant and it has helped me so much. My money is easily accessible to make change quickly. There is a spot for gift cards (that have to be turned in at the end of the night). A pad–which I used just because it came with it–but I love it and will def order more. I just can’t say enough good things about it. Definitely life changing! .
I ordered this book because of the reviews and it doesn’t disappoint. It’s a little pricey but so far it’s been durable and worth the price. I’ve had it for over a month. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it’s a little long. I’ve used shorter server books all of my “serving life” but I’m getting used to it. Overall, if this book ever falls apart, I will order it again. .
I’ve had this for a while now and it’s still going Strong. Im always asked where I got my book from. â¤ï¸ I will definitely repurchase when I need to. This is just the way to go. I have 2 serving jobs currently and this is just amazing. .
