I want to love it, but it gives me different numbers every time for the same item. It seems to be off by about 3%, and that can be 3% high or 3% low. on a level surface with no vibrations, i can put a pot on and off and on and off and get different numbers every time. so this is useless to me. i make soap, and if my lye measured high and the oil measured low, then i would have unsafe soap!!! .
I like that the readout area is separate from the scale, and that the scale is relatively compact, but it seems to drift a lot with time if you leave it on. I’ll come back to it claiming 0.4 ounces or something when nothing is on it. I either have to shut it off or tare it regularly. It makes me lose some trust in the scale’s readings in general.Update: Now the scale reads wrong if the cable is slightly moved. I don’t move it around or anything, but somehow the cable or jack leading from the scale to the display has gone bad. I can’t trust this thing anymore, nor could I ever really. Save yourself money and buy a better scale that you can trust, and thus not over-spend on shipping. .
 Funny I specifically bought this scale so I could read the numbers easily. and this did not disappoint. What is great about this is the scale and the Digital Readout are separate parts and the Digital Readout has LARGE number and a LIT display. That display is on a wire that can be placed away from the base or hung onto the wall away from the base. This helps to weigh large boxes becasue you can now read he numbers on the display. .Why is this important? Well in the past I have used other scales and they have 2 main problems:1) The first problem is the display is usually LCD so basically gray background with black letters, in some lighting environments you cannot read the numbers so easily. This scale solves that with its LARGE LIT display.2) The second problem I have come across with other scales is the digital display is attached to the front of the scale rendering is almost useless if you are weighing boxes bigger than 12. This is solved with this scale becasue the Display is on a line that can be moved away from the scale and even mounted onto a wall away from the scale base. .
I started receiving my shipments back stating that postage was due. I reweighed everything and it all looked good. So I took my packages to the post office. They weighed them and said they were 1-2 ounces more than what this scale told me. So I tested this scale with a lightweight item. I weighed my cell phone on my little 13 oz. postage stamp scale = 5.5 oz. My cell phone at the post office – 5.5 oz. My cell phone on this scale = 4.6 oz. .
