1 – Casio fx-300ES PLUS Scientific Calculator, Pink

Best algebra calculator 2020
Top Reviews This is BY FAR the best scientific calculator. Take every feature of the TI-84 except for the visual graphs and polynomial solver and smash all of it into a calculator the size of a normal scientific calculator, move a couple buttons around, and you get this thing. It makes tables based on inputted functions, performs stats, automatically factors out pi, and it does about a million other things I haven’t even figured out yet. The tables feature is really nice, since you can basically use this thing as a graphing calculator. The button layout is a bit funky if you’re used to TI calculators, but I got used to it quickly, and actually find this layout much more intuitive than the TI setup. I can do things on this calculator twice as fast as I could on my TI-30XIIS or my TI-84. This is my second fx-300ES now, after losing one that I had for years. Never had to replace the battery, the buttons held up well, and it survived many falls. . I love this calculator because it has just the neccessary functions for all math courses, without the complexity of multi teir menus or excessive button levels. It’s not a graphing calculator, but you can do that far better -and easier- with apps: I don’t understand schools that require them on a calculator(so behind the technology). I hate calculators so overloaded with functions stuffed into multiple levels of buttons or menus thst tbey become too complex and slow to use. The Casio fx 300 series of calculators have destilled the most important -most useful- functions into the simplest to use calculator. I’ve used expensive HP and TI calculators, but my $6 fx 300mx is far faster and easier to use. The $14 fx 300es plus is now my current fav, because it can do logarithms for any base, and has optional (you can choose to use it or not) text book math expression entering capability; perfect for complex expressions. . I didn’t have a problem using it for electronics when the math was exclusively multiplication, division, and exponents. However, as you can see here, this calculator was incorrectly programmed to handle the very basic core of mathematics, the entire Order of Operations. The correct answer to this equation is not 1, but actually 64. . This is a perfect calculator for those who need a simple, yet somewhat technically-able calculator. I’m not doing anything that requires the use of a high-quality, costly graphing calculator. I’m not an engineering student or anything, but I am a pre-med student, and have a large amount of science classes; chemistry, physics etc. so I bought this. It does everything I need it to, and its easy to use.So I’m not the most calc-savvy guy around, so I’ll simply say that I appreciated how easy it was to return to previous calculations, and manipulate the values so I didn’t have to re-type the entire equation (a common requirement in chemistry) – this was something that I had difficulty with using a TI-84, because moving the cursor and then attempting to place a new figure would replace whatever figure/sign you had previously placed, which would then require you to re-type the entire thing. The cursor on this places whatever you want between any existing signs/figures without the need to retype the entire thing. Read more

2 – RENUS 2 Packs, 2-Line Engineering Scientific Calculator Function Calculator for Student and Teacher

Best algebra calculator 2020
Top Reviews I purchased these calculators for use in a high school math classroom, specifically for their exponential and logarithmic capabilities. They are easy to use (layout is clean, functions and mode changes can be found intuitively). I am specifically pleased by how sturdy the calculators seem — I expect they will hold up well against classroom (ab)use, and the construction of the lids gives me the hope that students will have a harder time wedging them on the wrong way (a frequent occurrence with flimsier lids). Another excellent feature for classroom use is that the calculator shows the operations and syntax of the entry, not just the answer (which is helpful when students don’t know why they’re not getting the right answer). They came with batteries (always a plus), and the batteries required are a standard size (AAA), which will be a nice feature when battery replacement becomes necessary. . There is technically nothing wrong with the products but I wound up going to a 99 cents store in town for some candy for my class and just so happened to see the exact same calculators for 99 cents each. I spent way to much money purchasing them here and it took to long to get them. I should have looked at the 99 cents store first. . 2 line display, easy one button exp (scientific notation), uses AAA batteries. Great alternative to a $14 TI model. I bought 8 of them for my Chem classroom. . Good deal. Basically 2 for price of 1. Keys are larger than most and readout is large enough to see clearly. Good case keeps keypad clean. Read more
