Add Google Assistant Shortcuts to the Home Screen with this App.
Google recently launched a new app called Action Blocks that helps you add Google Assistant shortcuts to your home screen. It’s just a small app that puts a widget on the home screen that executes a command using Google Assistant. For example, you can order a taxi to your home, play any song or watch a movie, control home automation, etc. with one click. This makes even more sense for seniors as they can now call or text you, turn on or off lights in the house, etc. With a single tap on their phone. Let’s see how it all works.
How to add Google Assistant commands to your home screen
Download Action Blocks app from Play Store and open it. Click the Create Action Block button below. You can choose any of the normal actions or set your own action.
You can check the action if it works or not, and click Next to continue. Select an image, give a name to this block and click “Save Action Block”.
This is it. When it appears on the home screen, you can press and hold to change its position or size.
And now whenever you click on a block, it does a quick Google Assistant search for you.

At the moment, one touch can only execute one command, but you can set a series of commands for one block using this technique.
Open Google Assistant settings under Assistant tab click on routines add routine. You can set the command you say and add the actions the assistant should do and click save.
Now, whenever you say this command, Google Assistant will do everything. You can open Action Block Create Action Block app and choose to create a custom action. Now just place the default command you installed, click Next and continue the process. And whenever you click on a block, Google Assistant will execute all the commands in the routine.

You can use this app to make some quick actions on your phones even faster, but it will be even more useful for people with cognitive impairments and older people who find it difficult to understand phones. What do you think? Let me know in the comments below.
