By default, the only bookmark button on the Google Chrome toolbar is a small asterisk at the end of the address bar, which allows you to add a new bookmark or favorites. There are two methods for viewing and managing existing bookmarks.
Each method is set up in just a few seconds and is ideal for those who don’t want to open the Google Chrome settings menu every time they need to view their bookmarks.
Keyboard Shortcuts
The easiest way is to use two keyboard shortcuts. If you don’t see the bookmarks bar below the address bar, press Ctrl + Shift + B to view the bookmarks bar.
Some of your bookmarks added directly to the bookmarks bar will appear along the bar itself. To view other bookmarks, click More Bookmarks.
You can also manage and edit your bookmarks using the bookmark manager. You can press CTRL + SHIFT + O to open it. This allows you to create folders to organize your bookmarks.

You can also delete old bookmarks, edit names, and choose which bookmarks appear on the main bookmarks bar. After you press CTRL + SHIFT + B, the bookmarks bar will keep showing until you press the keyboard shortcut again.
Add a bookmark at any time by pressing Ctrl + Shift + D.
Add bookmarks toolbar button
With the Google Chrome browser extension installed, you can add a second asterisk to the Google Chrome browser window. There are too many bookmark extensions in the Chrome store to mention here, so I’ll just show you one. I’ll also list a couple more below, but don’t hesitate, Google will find the best one for you.
The Neater Bookmarks extension works similar to the bookmarks bar, but without adding a new toolbar to your window.
Open a Google Chrome browser window and visit the extension page. Click Install to install the extension. Confirm that you want to install. Installation is complete when a small blue asterisk appears between the end of the address bar and the settings button.
Tap the star at any time to view all your bookmarks, including any bookmark folders.
You can use a combination of the above methods or one method to easily access your Google Chrome bookmarks. Plus, if you don’t want to make any changes to your browser, you can view, edit, or organize your bookmarks at any time by opening the Bookmark Manager. Click the settings button at the end of the address bar and select Bookmark Manager.
This method requires several steps more than using the previously mentioned keyboard shortcut and opens a new tab in your browser. The other two are more browser friendly. Enjoy!
