5 Great Cases for iPhone XS, XS Max, XR

5 Great Cases for iPhone XS, XS Max, XR.

In the early days of mobile phones, no one needed a cover – the phones themselves could withstand almost anything except a stick of dynamite. But with newer phones and more sensitive tech inside, cases are needed not only for protection, but also for accessories.

IPhone cases do more than look great. Cases can add extra features like extended battery life, improved wireless charging, and more. The only drawback is the number of cases on the market – it can be difficult to choose which case is right for you.

We’ve rounded up our best iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR cases and listed them here.

1. Otterbox Traction (Otterbox

Otterbox Traction is a great case for two reasons. First, it is the reputation and reliability of Otterbox cases. No matter how hard you handle your phone, this case will protect it (unless you’re really going to break your phone).

The second is a transparent translucent back. While Otterbox Traction doesn’t add any extra features to the phone, it allows you to show the color of the phone.

So many cases cover the back of your phone that your choice of color doesn’t matter, but everyone knows that space gray is the best color. Why not show off a little? Otterbox Traction starts at around $ 40.

2. Apple iPhone XS Smart Battery Case (Apple

Apple‘s Smart Battery Case has to bear in mind that it has a battery, which means that aesthetics are simply out of place. This is by no means my eye-catching case and it only has three color options and you have to ask: what was Apple thinking? Why not just let customers buy the same colors they buy their phones in?

Despite the rather bulky design of the case, the utility cannot be abandoned. The Smart Battery Case for iPhone XS extends battery life by default from just under ten hours to 37 hours of talk time and up to 20 hours of internet use and video playback. Just remember to charge both the case and your phone for maximum performance. Smart Battery Case starts at $ 129.

3. Killer Silk Wallet (Amazon

There are plenty of wallet-style leather iPhone cases out there, but they tend to go beyond the reasonable price point for regular consumers. Some of the more expensive leather cases cost three times the price of the iPhone XR. This is too much, even if you have the money for it.

Silk Wallet Slayer is a much more affordable and smarter option. Starting at $ 23, Silk can accommodate three credit cards and cash while still being compatible with wireless charging. It’s the perfect way to get rid of your old bulky wallet and keep only the essentials with you. And since your cards and cash will be packed in your phone case, you are unlikely to forget them.

4. Lifeproof Fre (Amazon

Some phone cases offer protection on par with football gear, while others offer protection for the Abrams tank. Lifeproof Fre is the latter. If you are working outdoors and find your phone is on the path of harm, this is exactly what you need. According to the company, Lifeproof Fre is resistant to falls, dirt and snow.

The case hugs the back and side of the phone and has an integrated display cover. Lifeproof Fre claims that once you put your phone inside, it can be submerged in water up to 2 meters deep for an hour without any problem – not to mention surviving a 6-foot drop.

This is a durable case for people who don’t know much about their phones. The only drawback is the price. Lifeproof Fre is $ 61 on Amazon at the time of writing.

5. UAG Monarch (Amazon

Sturdy phone cases are worth their weight in gold, but they often add a lot of extra weight to the phone. On the other hand, the thin cases offer little or no protection from drops and dirt.

The UAG Monarch series strikes a balance between the two, offering robust protection without adding bulk to your phone. The honeycomb housing provides extra grip, while the combination of leather and metal protects it from damage.

The UAG Monarch is said to meet military drop test standards and comes in six different color options. No one can argue with appearance – this is an attractive, striking case. Plus, it’s more affordable than most others, starting at $ 50.

Choosing the Right Case

There are five great options on this list, but there are dozens more that didn’t make the list. However, not being mentioned here does not mean that the cases are useless. Take a look at what is there and decide which option suits you best.

If you play a lot or watch a lot of videos and charge too often, take the battery compartment. On the other hand, if you like to relax and often drop your phone, a Lifeproof or Otterbox case might be a good choice.
