We faced the same problem and started looking for a solution. We’ve found 3 unique ways to download twitter videos on iPhone. The workarounds are explained in easy steps, and if you follow each step, you won’t even have a problem saving Twitter video to iPhone.

How to download Twitter videos to iPhone
1. A third-party file manager
This is probably the easiest option, you just need a third party browser to download Twitter videos to iPhone.
In this case, we’ll be using MyMedia, a file manager that comes with a built-in web browser, since Apple has so many restrictions on how apps can interact. MyMedia takes advantage of this by performing all tasks in the application itself. Let’s see how MyMedia downloads twitter videos to your phone.
First, you must download MyMedia File Manager from the App Store. It is available for both iPhone and iPad.
After that, open the Twitter app and find the video you want to download to your iPhone. Click the Share button on the video and select Share Tweet Via. you can find this button next to the favorites button.
Now go to MyMedia File Manager and open twittervideodownload.com in the built-in web browser. You can also select other websites as you see fit.
Paste the Twitter video link into the URL field and a new page will load with multiple video download options, select the appropriate size and press and hold the download button to bring up the options menu.
MyMedia allows you to upload files to the application and asks you to save the file, you can save, open or delete it.
It then prompts you to rename the file so you can easily find it later.
MyMedia will start the download and you will see a progress bar with the download speed.
The files are now saved in the MyMedia app. you can look in the Media folder to find all the videos you downloaded.
To grab files from MyMEdia File Manager and save them to the Photos app, you just have to long press on the file and select the Save to Camera Roll option.
This is it. Now, you can save all twitter videos to your iPhone with a few easy steps.
This method is highly website dependent, and if websites stop supporting downloading videos from Twitter, you will no longer be able to download videos, but luckily for us, we have another way to download videos from Twitter.
2. Use the workflow
This download method is much more interesting because it allows me to see exactly how the video is being extracted.
WorkFlow is the application that is critical to this method. It’s an automation app that takes a long, repetitive chain of commands and creates a one-touch function. It has endless possibilities, but we will use this app to download twitter videos to your iPhone. Let’s start.
Downloading the Workflow app from the App Store is the first thing we’ll do. It became free after Apple recently acquired it and is available again for iPhone and iPad.

The workflow itself will not allow you to download videos from Twitter, you will have to upload your own workflow instead to accomplish this. There are tons of workflow recipes on the internet that allow you to download Twitter videos to your iPhone. We tried several of them and only one worked. SMD (Social Media Downloader) v3.5 does its job efficiently, although there are other workflows available for this task, we will follow these steps with SMD.
You will need to upload this to your workflow app, you can do this by searching within the app itself or by clicking this link. SMD v from your iPhone. If you have Workflow installed, the link will automatically redirect you to the Workflow app and install itself.
Once this workflow is ready, we can start downloading the Twitter video to your iPhone.
Go to your Twitter app and select the video you want to download. By clicking the Share button and choosing Share Tweet Via. Select “start workflow” and the workflow application will start.
The workflow application will open and you can now select one of the installed workflows for the task. We have SMD v3.5.

Download Twitter video to iPhone using WorkFlow
You will be prompted for the size of the video, you can select it and let it be processed. The next screen is a video pulled from the Twitter web page and now in the workflow app.
How do I move a video to the Camera Roll?
Now, you can share it directly with your friends using several available sharing options like AirDrop, Email, and also WhatsApp. You can also save it to your iCloud. However, you can also directly save it in your Photos app, but there was a small error that the video could not be saved on our iPhone. There is a workaround that you can follow if you run into the same problem.
You can save the video in iCloud folder and select the saved video. Clicking the Share button will open a popup, select “save video†and you’re done. You will now see the video in the Photos app among other files in the app.
3. Think Twitter ++
This method is only for iPhone users who have jailbreak. Download Twitter ++ to download all Twitter videos to iPhone. Since we do not have a jailbroken iPhone, we were unable to test the app, so your experience may be different.
