The process is simple. First, paste the URL of the YouTube video you want to trim and press Enter or the Start button (on the page).
The video will then load and you will see the UI controls to the left of it. During video playback, you can click the Start or End buttons to create the range that you want to cut from the video. Everything before and after this range will be cut.
You can also use the buttons to increase and decrease the current pause time by tenths of a second, allowing you to precisely select parts of the video.
Once you’ve set the start and end times, you can click the Preview button to replay your selection and see if you like it. If you are satisfied, you can download the selected clip in various formats.

ytCropper offers a marker system that you might be familiar with if you’ve experimented with common video editing applications Instead of asking users to click a button to define break and start points, you drag and drop those UI elements.
The immediate downside to cropping in ytCropper is that it doesn’t support fractions of a second, which means your clip may be less accurate. On the other hand, these markers act as visual indicators to see exactly where the trimmed clip is along the playhead. This makes it easy to expand or contract the selection.
When you’re happy with your choice, click on the next crop! button. Here you can play your video clip.
ytCropper does not offer to directly download trimmed clips and all it actually does is embed the YouTube video on the page where it will start and stop at the time of your choice. One cool feature it supports is looping – this is especially useful when you’re cutting out a favorite part of a song.
