File and folder size
The maximum file size that can be uploaded to both the free and premium OneDrive plans is 10GB. If you’re thinking about hosting a website on OneDrive, compare HostScore with other hosting providers to make sure it has the bandwidth, speed, and resources needed to store all of your hosted files.
If any of your files exceeds this limit, compress the file before uploading it. Right-click, then click Send To, then Compressed (Zipped) Folder.

Check the file path
If the file won’t sync or won’t let you collaborate, check the full path. Make sure it is no more than 255 characters long and includes the file name. Sometimes, if you are using subfolders, the path can be too long.
Move the file to a higher level folder or rename it to resolve this issue. To rename a file, right-click it and select Rename.
Special characters in the filename can be supported online but not offline, and vice versa. This can result in files not being synced.
For example, OneDrive doesn’t allow:
â€*: <>? / |
If any of your files contain one of the above special characters, remove it.
To learn more about file name restrictions, see the Microsoft support article: Invalid File Names and File Types.
Try resynchronizing the file to see if this is the problem.
Reconnect your OneDrive account
If you’re having trouble syncing any of your files, it might be a problem connecting to your OneDrive account.
Try disconnecting and reconnecting your account to fix the sync issue:
