10 Chrome Extensions to Supercharge Your Netflix Experience.
Can you believe life without Netflix would it be depressing? With a Netflix subscription, you can do a lot more than just watch a house of cards. How do you ask? Well, we have 9 chrome Netflix extensions that will make your Netflix and Relax more enjoyable.
Chrome extensions for Netflix
1. RateFlix
With the multitude of movies and TV shows airing on Netflix every month, it can sometimes be difficult to decide what to watch next. Yes, Netflix provides its own ratings, but I prefer IMDB ratings.
And this is where RateFlix comes to the rescue, in fact, this is the only Google Chrome extension that works. Once installed, go to Netflix (if it’s already open, refresh the page) and hover over Movies and TV Shows. It will show you the IMDb rating near where you usually see the Netflix rating
Unfortunately, Rotten Tomatoes’ ratings don’t perform quite as well as IMDB. The current version of Rateflix only shows Rotten Tomatoes ratings for movies (not TV shows), and even that doesn’t work very well. But then again, none of the other similar chrome extensions worked for sure.

2. Netflix Extended
Netflix provides you with several keyboard shortcuts by default, such as “M” for mute, UP / DOWN arrow keys to increase and decrease the volume of movies or TV shows you are watching. But if you want to expand this functionality, try Netflix Tweaker. This Chrome extension adds 4 new keyboard shortcuts to your Netflix experience.
“N” – Advances to the next episode of the show you are watching.
“B” – go to the previous episode
“Esc” – return to the Netflix home screen with the current show or movie selected
‘R’ – play any random show or movie
3. Netflix Categories
If you don’t already know, Netflix has a secret list of categories that are much more niche than big segments like Action, Drama, Documentaries, you know what you see on the home screen.
All you have to do is copy and paste the following URL into your tab and replace the # sign at the end with a secret code, for example 25804 is the military TV show code. https://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/###
Likewise, there are hundreds of secret codes and none of us can remember them. Netflix Categories links these passcodes with a simple interface. Once installed, just click on the extension, scroll through the genre you want to watch and click on it.
4. Super Netflix
Super Netflix literally gives your Netflix super power. With the extension enabled, you can tweak it to always skip the intro, adjust the video bitrate on the fly, and even set a color scheme for your favorite TV shows.
5. Ultrasurfing
Many of you may already know that Netflix has been battling VPNs for a long time. And from the looks of it, there is no free VPN that unblocks Netflix other than Ultrasurf. Ultrasurf is good because it is free and does not require registration. Just install the Chrome extension, enable it, and you’re done,
You can unblock geo restriction on Netflix for free. But it has its own set of problems. To begin with, since Ultrasurf’s servers are located in the US, I wouldn’t trust them with my data. And, it is very slow browsing too.

In short, if you want to get rid of Netflix content blocking, you have to shell out money. You can choose a paid VPN like Express VPN, Nord VPN or Smart DNS Proxy.
6. Remove pause in Netflix
Sometimes Netflix displays the message “are you still watching?†Which blocks playback until you manually confirm it. This is sometimes useful, but more often than not annoying. Netflix Pause Removal is a Chrome extension (also available for Mozilla Firefox) that automatically bypasses “are you still watching?†Prompts.
If you’re watching Netflix on a Smart TV or streaming device, you’re out of luck, however, if you’re using Chromecast to stream Netflix, you can use Flix Assist.
7. Netflix Flip
One thing I hate about using a Mac is that I can’t use keyboard shortcuts to rotate the screen to the side when I’m lying in bed watching a movie on Netflix. Luckily, Netflix Flip allows you to rotate the Netflix window to any angle that’s perfect for your position.
8. Netflix Tweaked
If you, like me, don’t like Netflix to automatically play trailers on the homepage, then this extension is for you. This Chrome and Firefox extension blocks the autoplay of trailers in your browser.
9. There is no Netflix original.
The name speaks for itself. Last month, January 2019, Netflix released 38 originals, believe me? And most of them, in my opinion, were not the best. As you might have guessed by the name, this “No Netflix Originals” Chrome extension hides an extremely large panel of original content from the site’s home page.
10. Netflix Party
Netflix Party is an exclusive Google Chrome extension that allows you to watch Netflix with your significant other who is not in the same room as you.
It works quite simply: select the movie or shows you want to watch together, then click the red “Netflix Party” button at the top of your browser to get a link to the shared session. Share it with your friend to start watching Netflix together. It goes without saying that they will still need a Netflix account, which I’m sure you already use. The great thing about this extension is that it only requires one person to install it.
